Bravo Beach Hotel - Description

Description
Bravo closed permanently.

Bravo Beach Hotel was voted by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the best new hotels of 2005! Here's what we plan your days, we plan your you don't have to worry. The hotel sends you to the beach w/beach chairs, beach towels and if you want coolers. We have a very popular Honor Bar poolside and on weekends the poolside lounge bar The Palms is a beautiful place to relax and meet others visiting or living on the island. Most of our rooms are within 30 feet of the Atlantic Ocean and the sunsets while having wine and drinks are impressive. If you just want to relax in your room there are I-pod docking stations, 300 channel satellite televisions, Frette linens, Aveda bath products and your own private terrace over the sea. The BBH restaurant BBH serves you a beautiful complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. During June and July there is live Jazz performed by the oceanside pool.

The Bravo Beach Hotel is at this time not in business. They stole my husband's and my deposit of $654.00.

On 10/30/10, we were dropped off by a taxi to Bravo Beach Hotel which had been deserted for two months as per a groundskeeper. The web site is still functional, but do not make reservations!

I just returned from Vieques, and spent three night at Bravo Beach Hotel.

I really wish I rented a shack with a door hanging on one hinge and a leaky roof for $45 a night. At least I would have known what I was getting. I have no problem paying top dollar for a sweet hotel, as I prefer to stay at places that are nice and well designed. I just feel that this place came up so short of the mark. That is that it I feel that when you pay $350 a night, there are certain standards.

It is not my nature to complain, and after staying here I started to feel like a snob.

In my my opinion, Vieques is a island with great potential. They are cleaning up the remains of years of bombing, and there are great beaches to visit. However, I think in 10-15 years - or whenever the rest of the island is accessible - it will be stunning. I think the best is yet to come!

Would I recommend this hotel? No! I suggest you stay on the other side of the island.

My husband and I stayed here for a week.

The staff was friendly and very accommodating. There was nothing we wanted or needed that they did not help us with. Harold and Jackie became our friends, and gave us great advice about site seeing, restaurants to check out, etc.

If you want a great lunch, see Chef Eric, who cranks out a top notch burger, among other things!

The rooms are clean with excellent views.

We will definitely be back soon.

We just returned from a special stay in Vieques, and we loved The Bravo Beach Hotel.

Thomas, the manager, was wonderful. He definitely seemed to work too hard!

The best rooms were three through seven. They were simply furnished and included Frette linens and robes. Everything was white and impeccably clean. All of the rooms (except one and two) overlooked the water. If travel is with two couples, there was a two-bedroom apartment, and it was lovely.

The food (tapas) was served Thursday-Sunday, and was delicious. Food service was outside overlooking a pool and ocean - it was beautiful. Beach chairs and coolers were available for trips to perfect beaches. Red and Blue were our favorites.

Restaurants of choice were Media Luna and Tropical Baby. Rent a four-wheel-drive vehicle, because getting to beaches was sometimes rough. But it was worth it for the white sand and blue water shaded by palm trees!
