Coral Villa, located on the French side of St. Martin, is part of the Terres Basses community that is known for its privacy and fine homes. Coral consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms located on opposite ends of the home, so privacy is ensured for 2 couples traveling together. The home is very contemporary with all modern furnishings in its living, dining, and kitchen areas. Outside, you'll find a patio with a covered area for outdoor dining, and an open, sunny area surrounding the large infinity pool. Relaxation is guaranteed at Coral Villa. The home is also close to 3 different beaches, and groceries and restaurants are just a short drive away.

Villa Description

Coral Villa is a contemporary style, comfortable 2-bedroom home with views west to the Caribbean Sea and sunset. Located in the gated residential community of Terres Basses, Coral is fully air-conditioned and offers all the modern conveniences to ensure a great stay.

The home is comprised of a living, dining, and kitchen area that open out onto the covered terrace, offering further dining for up to 8 guests. The 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are located on each side of the living area, offering privacy and seclusion.

This is a great villa for 1 or 2 couples or even older families. The villa is located within a 5-minute drive of 3 beautiful beaches.

The washer and dryer are not available for use by guests. On request, the housekeeper can do your personal laundry for a small fee.

Don't expect what they promise - it isn't there!

Coral Villa, Terres Basses (French side) villa review Visited: September 2011

We rented Coral Villa for two weeks in September of 2011. If you're looking forward to a sunset cocktail on the rooftop deck with the 360 degree view, (i.e. the one mentioned in the villa description), it does not exist.

Upon arrival, we asked the on-island representative where the stairs to go up top were. He looked at us like we had three heads and said there never was a deck, and that we must be thinking of another villa.

We promptly emailed Villa Caribe about their misrepresentation. Their response two weeks later was that they were waiting for the stairs to be delivered.

If you want to listen to music by the pool or in the house, that is not available here either. There is no stereo (as listed). We did bring our iPod and used one of the docking stations; the other one did not work.

Don't forget to leave your flip-flops, sneakers or a towel by the pool for when you get out. Bathroom tile has been installed around the pool. It is smooth as glass with no texture. It is very, very slick when wet, and you will slip!

I can understand if a stereo breaks and has yet to be replaced, but a deck that was never there is false advertising! We had a choice of renting another villa we were familiar with (that has a rooftop deck), but decided to give Coral Villa a try. Ultimately, Villa Caribe would not compensate us for this, and kicked the ball off to the owner stating that "they" would not compensate.

Too bad no one would take the responsibility instead of just pointing fingers. If Villa Caribe had a disconnect with their on-island representative, that's their problem, not ours! Too bad this was poorly handled.

THis property was wonderfully private and boasted unbelievable views!
