Having never stayed at a villa before, I had no idea what to expect. In fact, out of our group I was the one who was really pushing to stay at a hotel instead of a villa for our holiday. I was outvoted, and it was the best thing that could have possibly happened. Golden Clouds villa was absolutely incredible. From the moment we pulled up to the gate to the moment we left, the staff treated us like stars.

We had the all-inclusive package, which made it very simple to figure out who owed what. If you've ever gone on vacation with friends, you can really appreciate knowing exactly how much everything will cost before you leave on your holiday.

We had 15 adults in our group and some of us didn't drink much and others drank a lot. Having the liquor as a separate tab meant that you didn't have to pay for what you didn't drink.

The food was out-of-this world. I usually stay at all-inclusive hotels, so I'm used to the idea of having all my meals included. What I wasn't used to was having my own private chef who made the most amazing meals you could ever possibly imagine! Our entire group was completely impressed by Ms. Blossom and her amazing cooking.

The rooms were beautiful as well. They were each done in a different style and had all the modern amenities (air conditioning, flat screens, etc.), yet still had an old world charm and elegance.

We went on a few excursions while in Jamaica. I usually go to Mexico (love Cabo!) on my holidays, so Jamaica was something different and quite exotic. The locals were very friendly, and there were a lot of interesting places to visit. I would definitely go back to Jamaica, and I would absolutely go back to Golden Clouds!

Our extended family of 16 adults and three children stayed at Golden Clouds for a week. We were extremely pleased with everything about this private resort. All the other reviews are correct. It is a fantastic place to stay, and the staff is the best anywhere in the Caribbean, if not the world.

We had an all-inclusive package. Everything was taken care of - the airport transfers, all of the meals, tips, and taxes. We didn't have to worry about a thing. We had a van and driver for the week as part of the package, and it came in very handy for our excursions to Dunns River Falls and to the Firefly museum.

Of course, we spent as much time as possible enjoying Golden Clouds. We made great use of the beach, swimming pools, gym and tennis court; but it was nice to go on a few trips, as well, since some of our family had never been to Jamaica before.

My son, whom is 14, really loved snorkeling in the sea. He spent a lot of time exploring the reef while I lounged on the beach with a good book.

The staff couldn't possibly have have been nicer. They responded to our every request - including constant requests by the children for root beer floats (with a warm smile!). Kenneth was terrific with the kids, and although the property is very safe, he always kept a watchful eye on them when they were near the beach or the pool.

It is impossible to imagine a better place for a family reunion. Golden Clouds is like no place on earth and we will be coming back again soon!

We were at Golden Clouds for a week with a group of friends. There were 12 of us and we had the vacation of a lifetime. We were pampered and treated like royalty by our own private staff in our own private paradise.

It is impossible to compare a villa vacation to anything else, and if you are planning a holiday for a large group of family or friends, I highly recommend Golden Clouds.

The villa and property are like a luxury resort, except you have the whole place to yourself. The staff are always there to assist with anything you need, and it is your home to enjoy for the week. And what a home it is! The main villa is a 10,000 square foot mansion. Also, there is another two-bedroom villa on the property that we didn't use, but are planning to the next time when we bring even more people.

The weather was great during our stay. We went snorkeling every day, plus there were lots of opportunities to play tennis and hang out on the beautiful private beach.

I was able to keep up my workout routine while on holidays, in spite of the unbelievably great meals, by making good use of the gymnasium. It had all the latest exercise machines and was very popular with our group. We also enjoyed the games room and ping-pong table and had many tournaments lasting into the wee hours of the morning.

Since it was sunny and hot for most of our visit, we didn't spend much time walking around the beautiful gardens during the day. But, after an amazing dinner we would often go for long walks around the well-lit property, which is more like a private park. There is an incredible "Zen" garden with every tropical plant you can imagine. One of the main gardeners is named Rohan, and he is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about flowers, plants, and trees.

The villa has ten staff and we got to know them very well during our time at Golden Clouds. They are all very friendly and caring people, but are also very dignified and proud to be working at such a luxurious and legendary villa. Ms. Blossom is an amazing chef, and Jackson the butler/bartender did a fabulous job, as did all the staff.

We can't wait to come back to Golden Clouds, and would recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a vacation in paradise.

We got married at Golden Clouds in August and I don't even know where to start with how amazing this place is. It is a legendary villa and the walls have photos of celebrities who have stayed there, and we can certainly see why. From the time we landed in Jamaica until we left we were treated like royalty. The staff at the villa were extremely professional and incredibly flexible to all our needs. They really do their absolute best to make sure you have nothing to worry about on your vacation. The service was excellent, and the staff did their utmost to make sure everyone was happy and fed and having an amazing time. We spent a week at Golden Clouds and all the meals were outstanding.

The villa itself is gorgeous and has every amenity that you can imagine, including tennis court, gym, and games room. The grounds were well cared for by a team of gardeners, and the gardens, pools and beach are absolutely stunning. The villa was very spacious and the bedrooms are wonderful. Everyone commented on how comfortable their rooms were. There was plenty of space for all 50 of us to congregate. The villa is more like a luxury resort hotel with lots of terraces, seating areas, and large gathering places. Not all of our wedding guests stayed at Golden Clouds and some stayed at a nearby hotel. The hotel was fine, but the real vacation and partying all took place at the villa.

Golden Clouds is truly a magical place, and we can't wait to come back for our anniversary!
