What a lovely hotel and staff. Everything was perfect from check in to check out. Breakfast was good. Stay here if you want a peaceful beach holiday in a lovely setting.

This is the worst place in Tobago.

The facility is dated and in poor condition.
The staff was rude and misleading. After agreeing on a lower price at first, they still charged us the full rate. When we asked for a refund, they said they would give 50% back. We never got that either.
I have had to dispute the charges with the credit card company.

The first time I went to the Caribbean, I stayed at the Grafton and thought it was excellent.
The food was great. The place was situated perfectly, and the staff was very friendly. This hotel should be a five star accommodation!

I have just returned from an excellent two weeks at the Grafton Beach Resort.
This was the sort of resort where you relax as soon as you arrive. All the staff were friendly, and the food was very good (especially for the three-star rating). The location was also one of the best on the island with a great beach and with local villages just a short walk away, so it was not one of those 'you could be anywhere' type resorts.
The beach was a public beach so we did get beach traders. All of them were friendly and laid back and did not harrass us at any time. Avoid the Aloe man and the guy with the guitar, though.
As for the island - it was stunning. I've been to most of the West Indies islands and this was the most beautiful with the friendliest of people.
