Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa All Inclusive - Description

Description
The Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa is located near the town of Lucea in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The all-inclusive resort is close to a white-sand beach.

Colonial architecture and bold, tropical flowers are found throughout the property. In the lobby, the first of five pools is spotted, a lazy river meandering around the resort entrance. The hotel's main pool features eight spa tubs and a swim-up bar. Live music and a children's show are performed nightly.

Dining options at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa include three buffet-style eateries. The four a la carte restaurants serve Mexican, Italian, Asian and Caribbean cuisine. The smoke-free Miss Lou Bar specializes in premium international drinks, while others among the 13 resort bars focus on local liquors. The fitness center offers a separate cardiovascular and aerobics area, and a weight-training area.

We had an awesome vacation. 5.0 stars

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa All Inclusive, Montego Bay hotel review Visited: August 2011

My family and I had a awesome week-long stay at the Grand Palladium Jamaica in August 2011. It was everything the website posted and more.

We loved the place, and everyone was very friendly. The place beautiful and kept very clean.

This is a five-star resort and spa at a great price. I booked a spa treatment/massage, and it was great. My skin was soft for the whole day. I loved the oils.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE -- I WOULD NEVER RETURN --- DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! 1.0 stars

I travel 1-2 times a year and have stayed at many all-inclusives...and by far this was the worst one ever! I was there for a family reunion. They clearly spend all OUR money on appearance b/c the property is gorgeous to look at but that's it. The customer service is absolutely horrendous, very slow and some staff members acted as though they could care less about helping you. They messed up room reservations, we had no soap, no washcloths, no towels, the bathroom had a sewer smell, the bed sheets had an odor and the pull out couch was dirty, stained and nasty to look at.

The food was making people sick because it wasn't cooked properly. My meatballs looked red inside!!! It's not steak...meatballs have to be cooked throughout! It was disgusting!

Restaurants have long lines...food not great....and dining rooms opened up late and had people standing outside waiting to be seated. At an all-inclusive?? I've never heard of this.

I returned from my vacation needing another vacation. Please heed my warning -- DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Grand Palladium takes your money without reserving a room. 1.0 stars

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa All Inclusive, Montego Bay hotel review Visited: February 2010

The Grand Palladium overbooked its hotel by at least 300 rooms for the Presidents Week (February 12 - 21). Our trip had been booked, confirmed and paid for months in advance. Two days before we were scheduled to leave, Travelocity called to notify us that we could not stay at the Grand Palladium. No one from the hotel ever contacted us, and not so much as a form letter of apology was issued on their behalf. We met countless other people in the same situation - including a wedding party who was forced to relocate without notice. Despicable.

What was supposed to be a relaxing time away was a maddening week of trying to deal with Travelocity and our new hotel site to secure a comparable package that was purchased month before. The hotel should be ashamed that they assumed no responsibility whatsoever, despite happily accepting our $3,400 prepayment. You should only consider booking here if you have thousands of dollars to throw away.

My wife suffered an accident at this resort. 1.0 stars

My wife and I along with two daughters and 9 other friends stayed here from February 14 to February 21. Our room # was 1106.

During our stay, my wife fell into the lowered part in front of the stage. She had no warning there was at least a 14" lowered area with no security ropes. She is still laid up from her fall. In fact, she has had additional x-rays taken.

I called the front desk after it happened, and the only thing they offered was to send a nurse to our room for a charge of $40.00. If this happened at any hotel in the states, they would have offered free medical care. Also, most people would have sued the resort.

In addition, upon arrival we had a problem with non-available rooms due to over booking. It was not resolved until we asked the company we booked through to get involved. No one seemed to care and there were people who spent the previous night sleeping in the check-in area.

This is deplorable. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
