Description
Atop Blackbeard's Hill, this little boutique hotel offers the perfect mix of gorgeous Charlotte Amalie harbor views, proximity to town and shopping(five minutes away on foot ), plus secluded privacy provided by the surrounding flamboyant, banana trees and bushy hibiscus. Accommodations range from a roomy, top floor junior suite with a king bed to a balcony room with queen bed and full kitchen, or larger garden rooms with two queen beds. All rooms have individual air conditioners, free local call telephones, refrigerators, microwave ovens, and coffee makers. Free use of beach towels. Guests have access to washers and dryers. There's also a picnic area with a gas barbeque grill. The managing couple live on the property and are very helpful in giving restaurant, sightseeing or beach suggestions. We stayed at the Green Iguana (our second stay) before and after our bareboat sailing charter. Our friends stayed in nearby room.
The rooms had everything we needed. We were close to the 99 steps, and were able to walk to shops and dinner.
Tho hosts, John and Gwen, were very welcoming and had a good selection of beer and wine for purchase, which we enjoyed on the beautiful patio.
When we returned after our charter, they had Magaritaville music playing for us in our room.
We will definitely stay at the Green Iguana again when we are in St.Thomas.

This was our second time staying here. We just love the garden ambiance. We love the 99 steps, the closeness to Blackbeard's, and the view over the city from our room.
The room is airy, clean and included nice toiletries. John and Gwen were very personable, and were very good hosts. They had such a "can help" attitude. We will certainly return.

What a friendly garden hotel.

The managers, John and Gwen, were so friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable, pleasant and had a great view.
Sitting in the garden in the evening with our wine was lovely. It was near Blackbeard's Castle and the 99 steps.
I would definitely return.

We stayed one night on the way to St. John. It was easy to find and very clean. We arrived around 10 pm, and the hosts were most hospitable and helpful after a long day of travel.
We had a nice room, with a spacious patio and a beautiful view. We would love to stay longer next time. Thanks!
