There is a screened porch that offers the opportunity to enjoy your meals outside without any uninvited guests. The Mahoe Bay beach is a very short walk from your back door and offers a wide array of water sports and white sand beaches that are ideal for picnicking, beach combing, or just relaxing by the water.

Loblolly Villa - Description
Description
One of Mahoe Bay's newest villas, this custom-designed six-bedroom, fully-screened home is very well located just a few steps from the tennis courts and a minute's walk to Mahoe Beach with its white sands and snorkeling reefs.
Built on two levels connected by native stone staircases, the entrance welcomes you to the Great Room: large, airy, and very well-equipped for a large party and also containing the open-plan kitchen and dining area.
A covered gallery with a hanging swing and ping pong table opens out from the Great Room.
Two air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites flank either side of the Great Room, each with colorful Caribbean furnishings and its own private gallery; a staircase leads down to the lower level of Loblolly.
The large, sunny pool area is paved with a natural stone deck, perfect for sunning on one of the villa's chaise lounges. A shady, covered area adjacent to the pool deck is furnished with more patio furniture, the perfect spot for reading that novel or taking a vacation snooze.
Four more air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites are situated behind and to either side of the pool and deck area, offering two more king suites and two suites with twin beds, all done in tropical fabrics and colors.
Well-designed for excellent privacy in the bedrooms, and featuring beautiful custom ceramic tile designs throughout (there's even a tile turtle at the bottom of the pool), Loblolly is the ideal villa for a large family or group holiday.
Mahoe Bay is home to 17 of our villas. All the homes at Mahoe have their own private pools and a communal tennis court located in the center of the community. Mahoe is located in the middle of Virgin Gorda. Spanish Town is a short 5-10 minute drive. In Spanish Town, you will find grocery stores, restaurants, gift shops, laundry facilities, and more.

This villa is great! I love the scenery, the ocean, and the villa itself. Since it built on a mountain slant, it has an amazing view of the beach. The cook makes amazing johnny cakes, and you have to see town. Carnival or not, it is so nice! Also go on boat rides.

Perfect
Loblolly Villa, Virgin Gorda, BVI villa review Visited: April 2008

Last year was our second of three stays at Loblolly (we are going again this year). There's not much more to say about it. The place is fantastic. We have three families totaling 14 people and there is plenty of space. The island is the perfect vacation for me.

My wife and I recently (May 2004) enjoyed a week in Virgin Gorda, staying at the Loblolly Villa with six other friends, making eight total. I'll try to cover all the essentials here:
Location - Great! Mahoe Bay was a beautiful beach, with *fantastic* sunsets (sets right in front of the villa!), and was very private. The snorkeling on Mahoe Bay was phenomenal, as well. You'll definitely need a car, though. Loblolly (along with all other Mahoe Bay villas) was on a side dirt road, about five minutes from Spanish Town. You'll definitely need a car.
Amenities - Everything we needed was here, from hair dryers to beach towels and a DVD player and VCR (not that we watched any TV, but it's there if you want it). There were two fridges upstairs, and one smaller one downstairs by the pool (and the pool was great!). Rafts for the pool were also here. All of the master bedrooms had AC as well, and most had TV/VCR combos and alarm clocks. The outdoor showers (outdoor, but private, not to worry) were really quite enjoyable. There was also a hammock, ping pong, and a grill... this place had it all!
Staff - The company in charge of the services for the Villa was very pleasant, and very responsive. The one issue we did have (a toilet not flushing ... not a huge problem considering there were five other bathrooms!) was responded to within minutes (seriously!).
All in all, Loblolly was well appointed, clean, and the staff was friendly and responsive (and non-intrusive). Also, the beach, view, and location on Virgin Gorda were top-notch.
If you've got a large group of people, Loblolly is definitely a fantastic choice on Virgin Gorda.
