Luperon Beach Resort - Description

Description
The Luperon Beach Resort sits on the north coast of the Dominican Republic near the city of Puerto Plata on 40 beachside acres.

In addition to relaxing by the beach and poolside, guests can try their hands at windsurfing, sailing, horseback riding and scuba clinics in the pool, all included in the room rate.

The hotel serves a daily breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet in an attractive three-floor restaurant, and barbecue at the casual Tropicale Beach Restaurant. Guests drawn to Merengue and disco can visit the Caligula Disco on the beach.

The hotel caters to families, so if you're single you may want to go elsewhere.

I had a good time. 3.0 stars

I came here this summer and had a lot of fun. However, there was not really much to do. I came here with my mom and her boyfriend, and they seemed to enjoy it. I drank a lot.

The pool was nice, but the beach looked kind of rough so I did not go in. I think I was bored because of the lack of people. I could have counted the amount of people who were there. Maybe it was the time of the year.

I just returned from Luperon Beach Resort on a vacation with friends. I think at one time this was a really nice place, but it needs some work.

Around the pools, some of the sun umbrellas were just the metal pieces, no canvas. There were also cockroaches and spiders in the rooms. The piece to hold up my shower head was broken, and not replaced. In addition, my friend did not have a shower curtain.

A couple we met moved twice - once because they saw a cockroach and once because water came through their ceiling when the people upstairs showered.

The beach was nice, and the food was good. The accommodations need work, though.

I had a great holiday, but a nightmare catamaran trip! 4.0 stars

I had a fantastic time. There was lots to do if you like sports or just laying around. This isn't for the clubbing type, though

The food was good, and the people were nice.

Don't book your catamaran trip with Petra at the pool, though. Aguara Catamarans took us out in high seas, torrential rain and driving wind it was both unpleasant and dangerous! A thoroughly sick and miserable time was had by all!

I came here last year, and found the place amazing.

The staff was great and very friendly. The shows were very entertaining, but the club was a bit on the dull side. Other than that, I couldn't fault the place.

The food was absolutely spectacular. I only went to one restaurant. I am a great fan of meat, and they cooked the meat fresh every night at the buffet.

They also had a great ski instructor who taught me how to water ski. They had free snorkeling and free banana boats if you booked them, too.

This place is a must go. I am considering coming back this year with a couple of friends.

The only thing I could fault was that it was a long distance from the airport. It was about a hour coach journey. As a result, we didn't leave the resort much. Still, it was a lovely place to go.
