I went to Barbados to attend a relative's wedding, and decided to extend my stay to include a vacation.
I stayed at Melbourne Apartments and Car Rentals for two weeks in September, 2004. My time here was comfortable.
Each room was equipped with an air conditioning unit, a kitchenette, a hot and cold shower, and a television. There was one large bed. At the back of every room, there was a small personal balcony area. Pots, pans and an iron were available upon request.
Brian, Derek, Micheal, Quako, and the other front desk personnel were friendly and willing to address any concerns the guests had.
A beauty salon was conveniently located on the compound. Also, Kentucky Fried Chicken was across the road for those not inclined to cook, while a grocery store was obliquely opposite for those so inclined.
Guests were required to do their own housecleaning, though. However, considering we were paying $42 US a night, I didn't grumble too much.
I would recommend Melbourne appartments for persons who want somewhere comfortable, yet affordable to stay while in Barbados.

When you need a great "home away from home", you should really try Melbourne Apartments.
I did not want to leave on my departure day, the apartment was so comfortable and homey. I felt like I was at home. I have found a place to stay whenever I visit Barbados again. I will surely recommend it to my friends. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay!
