Nirvana on the Beach, Negril hotel review Visited: August 2011

First of all, I was greeted immediately upon my arrival (Rocky's is best transportation service!). The ladies were very pleasant and up-lifting. They had big smiles and made me feel very welcomed.
Rainbows is right next door, and has amazingly good jerk chicken and fish. They also serve other types of good home-cooked food.
We stayed in the owners' villa, which was right on the beach. It was unbeatable. The good man, Shine, was always looking out for us at night time and giving us good advice. Both Shine and the gardener were two exceptional people who left lasting impressions and gave me a new found hope in humanity.
I absolutely loved everything and enjoyed spending time with every person I met at Nirvana. We had the time of our lives!
Places you should visit include Nine Mile, Mayfield, and the Black River safari. Also, remember to use Rocky's for safe and reliable transportation.

Nirvana was great. The people were a delight.
It was a 30-second walk from the bed to the amazing clear water. There were restaurants close by, and beautiful sunsets, too.
I highly recommend it.

Nirvana was in the perfect location that allowed us to get away from the typical resort-style vacation. By far, they had the nicest beach and grounds we saw on our walks up and down the beach.
The staff was very friendly, the room was spotless, and the information provided in the room was helpful. We didn't know what to expect, and were a little nervous about being on our own in Negril. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the whole trip.
The grocery store was only ten minutes away by taxi, but there were plenty of restaurants on beach. Try jerk stands on the roadside, especially The Best in the West for the best grilled shrimp. It was just across the street.
Bring bug spray for mosquitoes after sunset. Also, bring a flashlight just in case. Go the the West End/Cliffs and LTU Pub for a beautiful view and amazing food.
We will definitely be back (hopefully in the near future!) to Nirvana.

We had a fantastic experience at Nirvana. We honestly could not have picked a better place to vacation and experience Negril.
The sundeck suite was perfect - proximity to the water, well-maintained, and a great amount of space for us. We also loved the landscaping/layout so that we didn't feel like we were staying at the same place with many other people.
The staff was fantastic - Leon was terrific, the daytime security guard was so kind and helpful, and Doris was a great resource as well. We felt safe and well taken-care of. We could really tell that everyone who worked there cared about their role - from housekeeping to the grounds maintenance man.
We especially loved how "private" the beach felt, and didn't feel harassed by solicitors or as if we had to compete for beach or water space. We also loved the access to the rafts, kayaks, etc. All in all, it was the perfect choice. We will definitely be back!
