Looking for a vacation destination like no other? Located on 80 acres of the Dominican Republic's north coast you will find the 17,000 square foot Golden Dolphin villa sitting atop a mountain with panoramic views of the Atlantic. Activities include tennis, horseback riding, exercise, a unique baseball experience, exquisite Spa services, typical Caribbean beaches, Playa Grande golf and more.
The Golden Dolphin is a romantic luxury Villa which was built in 2001 by a Swiss engineer. Artistic hand-made interiors give the house an unmistakable character.
At the entrance is the Tennis Court, pool House, a short drive takes you up to the Golden Dolphin Villa.
The generous living area contains a beautiful marble dining table for 18 people for the gourmet dinners prepared nightly. The bar overlooks the ocean and mountains where you can enjoy your tropical cocktails outside under the stars or inside close to the fireplace, as well as comfortable sofas for lounging or rehashing the days experiences.
Situated on the top floor, is the spacious master suite with many different features, which provides you with more luxuries than your heart desires.
The Jaguar Suites consist of 4 suites where you can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside from your own private terrace. All suites have seperate living areas, Super-King size beds, the ultimate in luxury. Crack open a bottle of champagne from your mini bar and relax next to your open fireplace for that romantic evening.
The twin-bed room has 2 terraces giving you your choice of spectacular ocean or majestic mountain views. Enjoy a pulsating shower overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The Pool House is situated amongst lush gardens and is centred around the pool,...barbeque, wine cellar, barns, gym, and tennis court. In addition to the main villa, the Pool House has another 3 bedrooms.
On the terrace of the Golden Dolphin, you have a breathtaking 180 degree view of the ocean and tropical palms and vegetation to put you in harmony with nature. Just a short distance from The Golden Dolphin rests one of the world's most stunning golf courses, Playa Grande. A par 72 with 12 of 18 holes that overlook the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, Playa Grande is sometimes referred to as the 'Pebble Beach of the Caribbean.'
Daydream by the gazing pools and pristine waterfalls, luxuriate in the island life at the tiki hut, stroll through the mountainside gardens plentiful with fragrant tropical flowers.
Spa services help you to relax and make your vacation complete. Sauna and hot outside Jacuzzi will bring your body and your soul into balance. In addition to Beauty treatments holistic treatments are offered under the supervision of Dr. Oliver Pfaff. Dr.Pfaffe was trained in Europe and specializes in regulative therapies using conventional and holistic medicine. Packages include Anti-Stress, Pain Relief, Oh my painful back, Golfers Special, Wedding Package.
There's not a better place to work on your tan than by the blue waters of the sandy beaches. Just a few minutes away are four clean, unpopulated beaches. Each beach is naturally landscaped with tropical coconut palm tress. Playa Grande & Playa Caleton offer lounge chair rental for relaxing and sunning.
Your chauffeur and personal guide will introduce you to the adventures of the Dominican Republic. Helicopter service is available to bring you directly from the villa to other areas on this island.
Weddings: The Golden Dolphin specializes in a unique one on one service for wedding parties. The Villa can comfortably host 18 guests, if your wedding party is larger, a picturesque private hotel (La Catalina) is nearby. Wedding Ceremonies in the Dominican Republic are performed by a civil judge. An English translator is available. If you wish to be blessed by the church, this can also be arranged. Catholic, Evangelical and Episcopalian available.
Six wedding packages are available including Dolphin Villa, Tailor Made, Caribbean, Adventures, Baseball and golf.
Villa Notes:
The pool is not heated and is a 5 minute walk from the main house, a 1 minute shuttle ride in the villa vehicle.
If the meal plan is not selected, guest will be charged a kitchen usage fee of US$200 per day and includes the following: kitchen staff, condiments, food preparation (client creates their own menu), table service and clean up. This price also includes light snacks, bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests are therefore responsible for all food shopping and transportation of food to the villa.
