The Westin St. John Resort & Villas, St. John hotel review Visited: May 2009
Posted by akarex
I am an owner at Westin St. John as well as a few other Westin resorts in the states.
Yes, this resort is undergoing a transformation -- it was a Hilton before Westin purchased it, so they have had to work with what was in place.
This stated, the Westin is spending time and money to upgrade the facility to the level of the other proberties -- which are awesome. They are also building a full spa which should be a year away.
As for St. John, I have stayed in both the rooms as well as the villas and the rooms do need a make over. However, the renovated villas are the best I have seen.
As the others have posted, the island is beautiful. You must get out and experience the other beaches and the restaurants.
