This was a "sweet" escape. Visited: December 2007 Posted by danieljames Anguilla is an island everyone must experience. If you're going to experience it, you must do so at Sweet Return. My family had stayed in Anguilla at a resort and had a great time, but nothing compares to having your own villa with an astounding view to wake up to every morning. Resorts are too expensive, and other villas are overpriced. When we chose Sweet Return, it was because of the affordability and the appeal. We had no idea how much it would go above and beyond our expectations. The kids - ages three and five - had an incredible time. The villa came equipped with beach bags, ready and waiting at the door with towels, sunscreen and beach toys! The closest beach was Rendezvouz... the most beautiful beach in the world - literally. The great thing about the location of the villa was that we could get anywhere on the island in a short amount of time. Also, everything was so well organized, it felt like we were at a resort, but had the privacy of our own place. In addition, everything was so clean and new and beautiful, the whole family is still wishing we were there. The benefit of staying at a villa as opposed to a resort was the ability to take in the local culture and food! We frequented the Barrel Stay Restaurant, and often enjoyed our leftovers while watching the gorgeous sunset on the pool deck. The time we spent there will never leave our memories.
