La Sirena is a great value on Anguilla. Visited: April 2003 |

La Sirena was a very nice, casual resort on beautiful Meads Bay.
The rooms were nice and well appointed with rattan furniture and terra cotta floors. We had a standard room and it was a good size, with a queen-sized bed, a small sitting area, and a pleasant verandah. The bathroom was large, modern and very functional. We had a view of the nice garden, but superior rooms had a view of the ocean.
It was a very nice complex with great service, from the owners to any of the employees.
The beach (in my opinion the second prettiest on the island, after Shoal Bay East) was just a two-minute walk, and there were umbrellas and chairs for the hotel guests. We were here mid-April and it was very quiet and almost deserted.
And don't miss Vivian's massage. She was very good and reasonable - at least by New York standards!
Overall, it was an outstanding value on pricy Anguilla. We'd definitely stay here again.

A beautiful beach and incredible cuisine for a decent price. Visited: August 2002 |

It is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, Meads Bay, and it sits only a short walk from La Sirena Hotel.
The sand on Meads Bay looks and feels like flour - it's that white! The water is so clear that it is difficult to tell where the sand meets the ocean.
La Sirena hotel offers fewer luxuries than other hotels on Anguilla, but its cuisine is incredible, and its rooms are spacious and clean. The restauraunt's fish soup and tuna carpaccio are addictive. The restaurant service is also wonderful.
Because my wife and I visited Anguilla during the off-season (for our honeymoon), the hotel seemed deserted at times. Likewise, the mile-long beach was practically deserted - we never saw more than 5 people on the beach at a time!
In addition, many of the restaurants on the island were closed. However, we had no trouble finding great cuisine at the restaurants that were open (Tasty's, Gorgeous' on Scilly Cay, Roti, and, of course, La Sirena, to name a few). The island of Anguilla offers great food, drink, and beaches - it's the perfect place to eat, drink, relax, relax in the sun and do nothing. |

We've stayed at La Sirena twice, and found it to be a really nice, easy-going place to stay at a great value.
The rooms, service, food are all wonderful. And you have a beautiful beach just minutes away. |

We spent a one-week vacation at La Sirena, and everything measured up to our highest expectations! The rooms are very nice and spacious. There’s a big tropical garden, two pools and one of the nicest beaches that we’ve ever seen throughout the world. The food is outstanding in a lot of varieties and the staff and owner/manager are always friendly and helpful. A place to remember and to visit again! |

This is a real find. It is small, very quiet, and has the friendliest staff I have ever met. It is just off the beach, with two pools, and a nice restaurant - although we went out to the great restaurants on the island.
The new owners are really adding to the place with a very nice makeover of the restaurant. The rooms are all refurbedished, and the grounds are really pretty. I thoroughly recommend this place. It is a great value - no doubt. |
