5.0 stars It was still there and fabulous! Visited: June 2008

Blue Waters was probably the most romantic, secluded, yet accessible vacation spot we've ever visited. You find yourself looking from your living area out to the clean, beautiful beach surrounded by palm trees.

Although the owner, Carolyn, was not here during our stay, we were well taken care of by her staff.

The apartment was perfectly maintained, and was bright and cheery. The restaurants on the island can be pricy, but we found lots of inexpensive spots that had outstanding food. Having a kitchen with all the necessary appliances was also a great way to save a few dollars on food and drink.

St. Marten used to be a favorite spot for us before it became such a busy island. Anquilla was a much better choice for a relaxed getaway with Blue Waters being the perfect, affordable place to stay.

4.0 stars This is our idea of the perfect vacation spot! Visited: December 2003

Our idea of vacation is privacy, white sand, clear blue water, and friendly people. Blue Waters was all of this and more.

Carolyn, the owner, has become a good friend and operates a flawless group of apartments that offer quiet elegance on a half mile of sandy beach. No one wants to sell you time shares or braid your hair.

Take a supply of good reading material, a healthy appetite, and leave your concerns at home. It is expected that you will be offered a ride if one is needed, and you can forget the need to lock things when you leave them, such as your car or even your room.

Get to know the people of Anguilla, and go native as often as possible. This is, as the Anguillans like to say, "Paradise wrapped in Blue." I concur, and long for my next visit. Enjoy.

5.0 stars This is a great place. Visited: April 2003

Blue Waters is very laid back, with no activities and no pool. They have a great beach, and very large fully equipped apartments. Also, the owner is great.

We've been seven times and will keep coming back. If relaxing and unwinding is what you want, this is the best place.

5.0 stars A quiet, unspoiled corner of paradise Visited: May 2002

We were fed up with overly fussy resorts and hotels, and wanted to stay somewhere simple that enhanced the peacefulness and friendliness of the island. Boy, did we strike it lucky!

There was good snorkeling and a long stretch of coral sand, as well as plenty of bird life around. The pelicans were so entertaining and so close!

Blue Waters had lovely tropical grounds, friendly and helpful staff and was well placed for the Trattoria, Cove Castle and Alta Mer restaurants.

We had a fantastic holiday and have booked again already.

4.0 stars Great units on a beautiful beach! Visited: June 2001

While on Anguilla, we stayed at the Blue Waters Apartments in Shoal Bay West. The place was very low key and relaxing. The one bedroom unit is very large. Blue Waters has: full kitchen, full bedroom, bathroom, living room, cable TV, covered beachfront patio, a restaurant next door, daily maid service, and a wonderful beach location with lounge chairs. This is a self-catering complex. If you want to be waited on hand and foot, this is not the place.

We loved staying at Blue Waters and would highly recommend it as a good "on the beach" condo. If you want a nice condo on the beach, then you can't beat it for the price!

3.0 stars Romantic getaway with a great location on the beach. Visited: May 2001

This resort was very clean and secluded. The ocean breeze and ceiling fans really kept us cool and comfortable. And you cannot beat the location: right on the beach. We could listen to the surf as we fell asleep.

Each morning we sat on the patio right next to the beach and ate breakfast while we watched the waves. That was after a couple of hours of early morning snorkeling right off of the beach.

The room was very clean and although not fancy, it was very functional and provided everything we needed for a perfect stay.

Right next door (a 30-second walk) was Trattoria Tramonto, one of the better restaurants on the island. We really recommend this as a place to stay on Anguilla.

We fell asleep each night listening to the ocean and awakened to the same.

We ate on the terrace where the birds actually sat on the table waiting for scraps of bacon.

It does not get any better than that!
