5.0 stars We had another fabulous visit here. Visited: February 2007

Having just returned from our fourth visit to Curtain Bluff, we can say once again it was awesome.

They have great staff, food, beach, and rooms; and we had lots of fun with other guests.

We have booked for next year.

4.0 stars Our stay here was nearly perfect. Visited: September 2005

We have traveled for several years in the Caribbean, seeking our personal private paradise. After having stayed in several luxury resorts (Guananhani, Old Bahama Bay, Biras Creek, etc.) we decided to visit Curtain Bluff. We stayed here last summer after having heard and read a lot about this outstanding resort.

It was a very beautiful place and we loved the carefree environment (don’t care about tipping, it is all included).

I especially liked the sports classes (personal training, as I was mostly the only one taking part). My husband preferred taking out the hobie cat - or we just relaxed on the beach. Don't miss the snorkel trip. It was worthwhile, and the snorkel staff was really caring.

There were a lot of other things to do as well. We didn't like the water-skiing, as it disturbed the quietness on the beach.

The food was a bit disappointing, especially the breakfast. It was always the same few choices of fresh fruit. Lunch was very good (buffet style), and dinner was okay, but nothing outstanding.
We expected more.

The cocktails they made were not much to my liking, as they all tasted like Rum Punch. Also, the bar stuff was not very welcoming.
The house wine was not to our taste either, so we ordered a la carte and found out that quite a lot wines on the list were not available.

All other staff members were very caring and attentive.

The place had no air conditioning, which was okay, but not in the summer. Usually, we didn't need air conditioning, but it was so hot and humid, the fans were not enough to cool down. We had problems sleeping well.

They told us, that they will close down the following years in the summer, so this problem will not occur in other seasons.

There was live entertainment in the evening every night. We would have enjoyed the possibility of dancing under the stars. However, it was nearly impossible, as during our stay the band played songs catering to the teenagers staying here. It was more like square dancing, and they occupied nearly the whole dancing area, which was really spacious.

Another problem was that we heard the music really loud in our first room (junior suite). They took care of the problem by upgrading us to an executive suite, which we enjoyed a lot (beautiful accommodation!).

Unfortunately, the steel band only played once at lunch time during the week we stayed here. Let them play in the evening with a barbecue on the beach, which would be a stunning experience!

Overall, for us it was near paradise. But we will look further to find ours.

5.0 stars Curtain Bluff is an unbeatable resort. Visited: February 2004

Having done a fair amount of traveling throughout the Caribbean and been to many resorts, we can say that Curtain Bluff is the best yet.

The food was excellent, the staff was brilliant, beach was great, and we've alrady booked for next year. It does not get better than this...anywhere.

5.0 stars We've made five return trips and each one was better than the last. Visited: December 2003

Each of our five visits to Curtain Bluff has been delightful, as if we had entered another world of relaxation, fine dining, exquisite setting and friendly, professional service.

We delight in the fact that there are no room keys, doors are left open during the day with never a problem and cash is unnecessary since it's an all-inclusive resort. We don't hesitate to order room service in the mornings or tropical drinks in the afternoon; don't miss the award winning Caribbean Fantasy, heaven in a glass!

The dining room offers a five course gourmet meal with four or five entree choices each evening including fish, beef, poultry and lamb plus a vegetarian option. Crab and lobster are served often and lavishly. George, the wine steward, presides over an impressive wine list in a friendly, non-threatening manner. In fact, all the staff is warm and friendly and often greet returning guests by name.

The beach with individual cabanas for each party is beautiful beyond description; pale, clear blue water, soft, white sand and more palm trees than I can count. And the beverage servers on the beach don't miss a beat, in fact they've been known to give me a push in the hammock when I need it!

Owners, Howard and Chelle, treat us as if we are special guests in their home, in fact we are! Once a week they host a sunset coctail party in their lanai overlooking the bluff and we're treated to their warm hospitality along with managing director, Rob.

I can't express my love of this place any more than to say we're already looking at our calendars for the next opportunity to splurge on Curtain Bluff.

My stay at Curtain Bluff was fantastic. I made many friends and will carry many memories with me always. Upon my return home to America, I became "homesick" you could say, for the feeling I had when I was there.

Someday I hope to return to the wonderful island and the beautiful people. Curtain Bluff, I miss you!

5.0 stars It was truly extraordinary. Visited: April 2001

My wife and I have stayed on about ten islands in the Caribbean, and Curtin Bluff was, by far, the most enjoyable.

The service was impeccable and truly "all inclusive" - even the scuba diving. The food was supurb at every meal, but dinner offered some of the best meals we have ever had, anywhere.

We will return the next chance we get.
