We didn't stay at the resort just tried to have dinner whilst we were anchored up on the magnificent Coco Point.
The signs all around the barricaded hotel grounds made it clear that visitors were NOT WELCOME !!!!
They have also cordoned off the beachfront in front of the hotel, which as every one who knows Barbuda, is illegal. Local folk told us that they have managed to do this by 'greasing a few palms'
Land and Beach Front on Barbuda cannot be owned by any person or company.
Only the buildings can be owned, not the land. This was a legacy of the emancipation of slavery on Barbuda.

The Coco Point Lodge is just wonderful. But it's not for those who cannot live without a TV!
Not that you need it - this place is great to learn how to water ski, sail, fish, etc. But it is also an excellent place to do nothing!
The accommodations are wonderful, each with its own beachfront access (meaning the ocean is within 30 feet of your door). Food is included in the price (and it is excellent), and there is always an open bar.
The staff is also friendly and helpful. Words cannot describe the experience I had here, but I can tell you I did not want to leave. |

My wife and I have been all over the Caribbean, and we fell in love with Coco Point. Start with a beautiful beach, add in fabulous staff, great food, nice accommodations, interesting guests, a casually elegant atmosphere -- it is wonderful.
This is a quiet resort and an island with little nightlife. When we visited, we were virtually the only guests who hadn't been there before. Many of them were repeaters for many years. Having been there once, we can see why that is the case. |

Coco Point is a wonderful place to stay to get away from the stress of work and home. It is a very kid-oriented place, with many activities that everyone enjoys.
The food could not be any better and the staff is the friendliest group of people on the island. If you get an oppurtunity to visit any Caribbean island, definitely pick Barbuda and stay at the best lodge, Coco Point! |

Coco Point is the most unbelievable place I have ever visited. I first visited in the mid 80s, after my grandparents introduced us to the resort (they first visited in the 60s). This wonderful, private resort has captured a special place in my heart ever since!
The staff is so accomodating, the food is fantastic, the beach is beautiful, and the activities are first-class. I don't know a single soul who hasn't, or couldn't, love Coco Point! |

Seriously, it really doesn't. Outstanding service, your wish is their command. Pristine white/pink beaches against fabulous calm, bright crystal blue water and amazing sunsets.
You are picked up from the airport in Antigua and flown on a small plane right over the Caribbean waters to the island of Barbuda and land on Coco Point's private landing strip. Martin picks you up in a Land Rover and you are off to the most amazing beach in the world. I mean everything is incredible.
Every night after dinner, you choose anything on the breakfast menu you would like and what time you would like to eat. To my delight, I woke the next morning to a fabulous breakfast set up right on the patio overlooking the beach.
Everything is included - all drinks, food and activities. I could go on for hours, it is just something you have to experience on your own. |

A group of friends and I have been fortunate to spend nine days here every year for a number of years, and it is outstanding. The property is not for everyone due to its peace and tranquility, but for those who appreciate a wonderful beach, tremendous service and friendly staff—this place is hard to beat.
