Galleon Beach Club

Galleon Beach is popular with families, divers and independent sorts who appreciate the affordable cottages and the lack of constant activity. Set on 20 acres in Antigua's National Park, the hotel offers a tranquil setting for folks who want to kick back and relax. All cottages provide kitchen facilities and a living room sofa bed with either a garden or ocean view.

Its main beach looks new and improved after Hurrican Luis dumped tons of sand there. Columbus' Italian Restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily and entertainment is available twice a week during high season.

Close to several small properties and Nelson's Dockyard, guests can take off and explore; there are some 16 dive sites off the coast in English Harbour alone. A free shuttle boat runs to nearby Falmouth Harbour, another interesting area to explore. Horseback riding, diving, fishing, sailing, golf, squash, hiking and historical tours can all be arranged upon request, as well as weddings.
