Ants, mice, mosquito wigglers & yuk!! Visited: May 2005 |

Ants in the kitchen. Mice ate our food. Mosquito larva (wigglers) in the flower vases. Mold on the walls and in the beds. The last day we were there my son questioned why we sometimes heard gurgling from the bedroom. Our search revealed a cistern (I think) under a rug in the corner.
Antigua is a nice island. Good jerk, and a variety. Next to the resort there were 2 great restaurants which my son loved. We drove the island and natives were quick to point us in the right direction when we were lost. Loved the shopping bazaars. We came to snorkel but it was so-so.
Would go back but not to Antigua Village, my son would kill me!! |

We had a great vacation. Visited: April 2002 |

We recently got back from our vacation in Antigua. We stayed at Antigua Village, and really liked it.
Having a full kitchen was great. It allowed us to buy some meals instead of going out for dinner. Be warned that food is expensive in Antigua.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The grounds were well maintained and the pool was great.
The only downfall to our vacation was the beach. My husband and I really enjoy the beach, and there wasn't one to lay out on here. You could still walk on the beach, but there was no room for chairs. Also, snorkeling wasn't very good in Antigua. We are avid snorklers, and we were disappointed.
However, overall, it was a good vacation. |

We stayed in a fabulous villa.
The beach and pool were both super! It was better than other Caribbean hotels and villas that I have previously stayed in!
The atmosphere was wonderful and the people were very friendly. |

A great place and one of our favorite memories of Antigua! Visited: January 2000 |

Antigua Village is a beautiful, accessible, friendly, and comfortable place to relax while you visit the Caribbean. We made several friends there, and were very comfortable in the generally well-equipped/kitchenette-style rooms. We thought Antigua Village was a good value.
There is a store on-site, and everything else you need, including scuba, restaurants, and casinos, are just a short walk up or down the beach. Our hosts among the Antigua Village staff were congenial, kind and helpful to us, and we truly enjoyed getting to know them.
If you prefer to be left alone, this also is no problem at all. The deep blue water is warm, the lovely beaches are pure white sand, and all the sunsets are made of purple gold when viewed from your "home-away-from-home" at Antigua Village!
Taking a vacation here will uplift you, and not let you down. We have come back to the island twice, and Antigua Village is our top choice ! ! !

Just returned from a great relaxing holiday in Antigua Village. The accommodations are ideally situated right on the beach. We had two apartments 32B and 22C, both were lovely. We found that the best place to eat was Chutneys, which serves Indian and Caribbean food. It was delicious. Be warned that eating out and food in supermarkets is very expensive. The people in general are incredibly friendly. The best beach by far is Half Moon Bay. We were disappointed that snorkeling from the beaches in general is not good. We also liked the freedom of self-catering. All in all, it was a great holiday that truly recharged our batteries.
