My family and I stayed at Trade Winds last January and it was an amazing experience. The hotel was spacious with a beautiful view from all around. The staff was very friendly, and the food was fantastic! I recommend Trade Winds to everyone! |

I had the pleasure to stay at this hotel this February and have to say it was magnificent. The service is amazing, nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is also very friendly. The beach is a mere ten minute walk downhill. When you get there, there is an arrangement for free sunbeds.
I heartily recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms are spacious, well presented and the air-conditioning is great.

Service and Hospitality - top notch! Visited: January 2000 |

We just came back from the Tradewinds on 1-6-00. The service and geniune friendliness of everyone at the hotel was amazing. They really cared about us. One night a person in our party actually was sick with a kidney stone. The hotel rushed us to the hospital with a representative to make sure he was okay.
The restaurant was top notch, which overlooks the ocean and is next to the pool. What a view! The clean Carribean style rooms are even better. We stayed in a room with an upstairs loft where the bed and closets are. Downstairs was the sofa, chair, t.v.and patio overlooking the amazing view of the ocean.
I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. And in Antigua the price for this hotel is a steal. Every night they made recommendations for other restaurants and sites to see or places to go. Becuase it is a small hotel they really get to know you on a personal level.
The hotel is not on the beach but they do provide a shuttle service and have a relationship with a company called Sea Sports to get you chairs free of charge; Jean Claude was great. The shuttle only takes 5 minutes so its not a big thing. If your looking for value and non-inclusive this is the place to be. Did I mention the service? |

Our trip was a memorable one... Visited: January 2000 |

I can't say enough about the accommodations at the Trade Winds. Our first day there, we met Thomas the bartender, Sharon the restaurant supervisor, and Leone, a waitress..(too much to handle!). Everyone went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our vacation. When we asked about some place to go, they gave us their honest opinion. And we would find out later that they were right!
The food at the hotel was incredible! Some of us ate there only one night and we wished we had eaten there every night. The hotel is not all-inclusive, but it should be because of their menu and staff!
At the reception desk, there is the beautiful Marydith. No matter what the problem you might have, she is there to take all you worries away! She would make sure we had a taxi waiting for us and our reservations in place, whatever we needed, we could count on her! She is one in a million!
If you need a taxi, ask for Sammy! Everyone knows him and he will treat you well! |
