We came here for our wedding and finished with our honeymoon. We returned home about a week ago, and already want to book our next trip for our anniversary. The island itself was absolutely beautiful! The resort was a well-maintained tropical garden of lovely plants, trees, and flowers. The design and layout of the buildings made us feel as though the resort was an island of its own. The food was phenomenal. They had a great sushi bar and hibachi (though reservations are needed a few days ahead). There wasn't any limit to specific restaurants--which was great being that we ate sushi every night (sometimes as just an appetizer). There was lot of variety to fulfill your taste - and even your sweet tooth with its many dessert spreads. The staff was extremely friendly, personable, and helpful - from the front desk to the maintenance crew. By the time we left, most of the staff knew us by name. We felt like celebrities! The spa was incredible! They had affordable prices and excellent service. The spa staff really took their time and put forth great effort. We had the rub-a-dub-dub-two-in-a-tub; and were very impressed! Our wedding itself was a dream come true. It took place in one of their gorgeous gazebos with the ocean in view! It was a fun and unforgettable ceremony. When we were here, every stress of life melted away. Everything we had to worry about was taken care of. All we had to do was live our island life and just be! |

We were at the GPBR Antigua ("we" as in 17 of us) from July 19-26, 2008 and it was horrible! It was very dirty; the pool was dirty (one of us got an infection from the pool); and one of us got food poisoning. Also, the food was terrible; the front desk and other employees were very mean; there was not a lot of variety of drinks; and the rooms were rundown. In addition, the resort atmosphere was disgusting. The staff was not helpful; the entertainment was terrible; the bathroom in the rooms and in the resort smelled bad. It was a waste of money. Please do not waste your time and money by coming here. |
