The easygoing atmosphere at this hotel and the helpful and prompt staff made our stay even better. This hotel was far better than the high-rated hotels we saw. And the beach - wow! Visited: August 2005 Posted by free_woman I just returned from staying at this resort, and it was wonderful! The resort was small, quaint and clean, and had an extra friendly staff. Our room was oceanview and looked out onto the most incredible beach Aruba has to offer. And they had one of the most recommended restaurants on the island, too. It was the French Steakhouse (the Filet Dutch Style is a must!). I partake in a spa day on every island I visit, and the spa at this resort was one of the best I have ever enjoyed. They had no respect for our reservations. Visited: October 2004 Posted by rkesling I suggest you avoid this motel. We made a pre-paid reservation in February for October 8-9th . Upon arrival at 2:33 pm, we were told they did not have any room for us. We found another motel. It was right in the beach. Visited: September 2004 Posted by traveler This was our first year at the Manchebo. We chose it because it was right on the beach, had an excellent restaurant, and had easy access to the parking lot. I asked for a room that was close to things so that too much walking was not required. Vivian gave us room 15 – an ocean view close to the lobby and the parking lot. It was perfect. Our room had two very comfortable beds with lots of pillows; a table and comfortable chairs for lunching in; a ceiling fan; an excellent air conditioner; a small fridge; coffeemaker; an iron and a hair dyier. There was a safe in the closet and plenty of hangers as well. The bathroom vanity had more than sufficient space for toiletries, and the shower was strong. The tub had six corner shelves for soap and things, and a clothesline as well. We were quite pleased. The resort was small – 71 rooms – with a wide beach, the best steakhouse on the island, and a good sized bar between the beach and the pool. There was a computer with free internet access in the lobby and a well stocked mini mart. The Manchebo had a beautiful new spa. We did not use the spa this trip, but we met folks who did and they were very happy with the services. Visited: July 2004 Posted by jacjac969 The Manchebo Beach Resort is not swanky or ritzy, but what makes this property outstanding is the close to perfect beach, the excellent service, and the absence of problems. The beach is expansive, with few people, great sand, clean, clean water with no rocks, and lined with palm trees. Service is impeccable - polite and prompt. The A/C is in perfect working order, no plumbing problems in the bathroom, and good hot water. My only complaint, and it is considerable, is that the website for this hotel states that the fitness center was opened in April 2004. This is misinformation. It is not yet completed: currently they only have a universal machine, and that's it. I complained, and management made arrangements for me to use the fitness center at the Bucuti next door. The Manchebo Beach Resort has the greatest staff - A+++! Visited: February 2003 Posted by smack1951 While in port off the Carnaval Destiny, my mother fell ill and required hospitalization. We were recommended to the Manchebo Beach Resort, whose staff graciously worked at securing a room for my husband and me for the week. We also have a time share property in Costa Linda, which is very nice, but we would rather stay at Manchebo than anywhere else. We like a ground floor room better than any high rise. Plus, the people at Manchebo are a cut above the rest. Do not miss the French steakhouse at Manchebo, no matter where you stay.
