4.0 stars I had a very relaxing vacation here. Visited: June 2005

My husband and I enjoyed a six-day stay at the Hyatt in Aruba. The hotel was beautiful. We really enjoyed the beach and the pool. We never had trouble getting a hut or chairs at the beach. The staff was always willing to help with whatever we needed. Everything was within walking distance, too. It was so easy to head out and get dinner or dessert at night or do some shopping.

The only complaint we had was with the balconies off of the rooms. The balconies were only 18 inches deep. You could go out and stand on them, but there was no room for a chair, etc. if you would like to sit outside and relax. The rooms themselves were fine and very comfortable. The rooms didn't have bathrobes, so bring your own if you'd like one.

We would definitely go back.

4.0 stars Beautiful grounds, but rooms could be nicer Visited: June 2005

My husband and I just returned from a week long trip to Aruba. The grounds of the Hyatt are beautiful. We never had a problem getting a hut on the beach, no matter what time we arrived. The rooms are average, the bathrooms are okay as well (no bathrobes provided). The balconies on the rooms are very small as well. Only 18 inches deep, so you cannot sit outside and relax. The location is great- the hotel is situated near all of the restaurants and shops. For the price, the Radisson seems to be a better deal.

We spent our week-long honeymoon at the Aruba Hyatt on the Regency Club floor. The rooms were nice, but not much different from normal hotel rooms. The views from the top floor were excellent!

The Regency Club was well worth it. With daily breakfasts and afternoon appetizers (good food and wine), we frequented the lounge area and got to know the concierge who helped us with restaurants and activities. Everyone called us by name, which was a nice addition.

The resort grounds were beautiful, and the Palms Restaurant's 'Fajita and 'Rita' Night was our favorite.

The Hyatt is a must for an upscale stay on Aruba.

The Hyatt was a great place to relax and enjoy the great aqua water and white sand of the Caribbean. We spent a week here. It absolutely met our expectations of relaxing at a resort where we didn't have to leave to get anything if we didn't want to.

On some days, all we did was go from the pool(s), which were great, to the ocean, which was calm and just floated our day away. There were activities to participate in near the pool, such as Bingo and Waterslide racing. It made the days fun. And there were not a lot of kids around, so that was a bonus for us.

They had friendly service, good food, and was an overall nice hotel to relax in, since that was why we went. It was in walking distance (less than five minutes) to numerous restaurants (from casual to expensive) and to some shopping as well.

I would recommend this hotel, among all others on Palm Beach, as this seemed to be the most luxurious with great service, great pools, and great beach, too!

This hotel was expensive - but worth it. The concierge booked dinner reservations, tours, and remembered our names, too.

The grounds and pool were beautiful. It was convenient to other hotels and eateries off site as well. There was turndown service in the evening, and they left chocolate on our pillows.

They also had karaoke each night at the outdoor bar. The swim-up bar was nice and guests could order lunch there, too.

Other nice touches were the fresh smoothie shake bar, secluded hot tub, and water slide.

We spent our honeymoon at the Hyatt in Aruba and we fell in love with the Hyatt. The Hyatt was the most beautiful hotel on the island, second to the Radisson.

Everyone working in the hotel was so friendly. The hotel was constantly being cleaned, which in my book says a lot about a hotel. The rooms were nice, but not fabulous - we had a mid level room. I heard the rooms on the concierge floor were beautiful with great views.

The pool was beautiful. And the beach was just amazing. It was very clean, and the hotel staff would come up to us on the beach every so often to see if we needed anything.

Overall, we had an amazing honeymoon and we can't wait to go back for our first anniversary, but we would only stay at the Hyatt!

We stayed here for a week the end of February. It was a beautiful property, well maintained, excellent service, nice casino, and an excellent spa. The rooms were medium sized with four-star amenities. It may have been overpriced, but we enjoyed our stay.

From the moment I got out of the cab and walked through the breezy, open lobby, I was amazed. The courteous staff, beautiful water view, numerous pools and hot tubs, and delicious restaurants made for an unforgettable experience!

I have visited the Hyatt three times and am now looking around for another Hyatt of the same quality in the Caribbean. The security was flawless, yet the service couldn't have been friendlier. We were upgraded to the regency floor twice, and it was absolutely exquisite. The restaurants were fit for a five-star hotel and the pool was great. I recommend it to families, couples, or anyone who wants a real good time.

5.0 stars The best resort in Aruba, by far. Visited: August 2002

We recently stayed at the Hyatt for our one-year anniversary. Aruba was a great destination, with a lot to do, and the Hyatt was the most beautiful resort on the island.

The restaurants were top-notch, and when dining off-property, the concierge staff was extremely knowledgable and courteous. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

The only negative was that the in-hotel shopping center could be a little better, but with downtown a short cab ride away, the hotel shopping wasn't necessary. The Hyatt is highly recommended!

We encountered professional staff members that were extremely friendly and most accommodating.

It was an excellent facility with great access to water sports and restaurants. This hotel and its staff set the standard for excellence.

We are looking forward to a return trip.

4.0 stars Probably the best hotel in Aruba. Visited: June 2002

We took recommendations to stay here and we were not disappointed.

The rooms were comfortable and the property was top notch. It was very kid-friendly and everyone was so nice.

There were lots of parrots and fish stocked on the property - many fish were dead and floating at the time we were there, though. This made a bad smell near the water and that cost them the five stars in my book.

That should not stop you from coming here. The breakfast buffet was a deal I recommend - paid in advance for buffet tickets. The food in Aruba could be steep, so we had a big breakfast, nibbled lunch and had regular dinners and we were not broken by that.

We will come back here when we return to Aruba - for sure. The Marriott I think was a nicer property, but it was inconvenient in location and out of the way. There was no sidewalk connecting the Marriott to the rest of the strip yet, sp that was not a good thing.

I stayed at the Hyatt last April. It was an excellent hotel. The way the hotel sat on the ocean was perfect for you and your woman.

The Hyatt had many differnt options. They needed me in the kitchen making their food. - that was the only problem. My wife also got food poisoning.

Other than that, it was an excellent Hotel. My advice is to stay at the Hyatt, but don't eat their food.

What a wonderful place! This was our first trip to the Caribbean and the Hyatt did not disappoint.

The staff, restaurants, swim-up pool bar, and rooms were all first rate - as was the service.

Come and stay with confidence!

5.0 stars A beautiful property! Visited: January 2001

We visited Aruba for the first time in January and the island is just gorgeous.

The Hyatt is the most beautiful resort on the island, hands down. They have several clean, beautiful pools, lush green grounds and wonderful bird houses all around the property with exotic parrots and birds of all kinds.

The food is quite good, and the staff is very friendly. It is a pricey hotel, for sure, but if you are looking for deluxe accommodations, this is definetly where you want to stay in Aruba.

I have been to Aruba four times and the last two times we stayed at the Hyatt. It is the most beautiful hotel on the entire Island and I would recommend it to anyone. I will stay here each and every time I go to Aruba.

5.0 stars Paradise in Aruba at the Hyatt Visited: January 2000
Posted by Cruel2000
Just got back from Aruba and it was overall a fantastic experience. The Hyatt was by far the most beautiful hotel. The beach at the Hyatt was beautiful and the service at the Hyatt was superb. We never had to worry about a reservation at a restaraunt or had to book an excursion, everything was taken care of by the excellent concierge staff.

If you plan on going in and out of town or down to Baby Beach, rent a car. It costs $8-9 to go downtown, one way. Rental car prices are expensive there, but we found a fair rate at a place called Super Rental Car.

Be careful of the beaches around the oil refinery (Baby Beach, Coco Beach, etc.) for we took a dip in the water and to our surprise, when we came out, we were covered with oil spots. It was a nightmare.

Eat at The Driftwood for seafood; excellent food and service. I also recommend Benihana (Japanese food) & Carmellinos (I think this was the name), an Italian restaraunt.

Be sure to shop early. All shops close between 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

We stayed at the Hyatt last spring and will definitely go back at some point.

The beach was incredible, the service was great and the grounds were gorgeous. If you can spring for it, stay in the Regency Club rooms. Definitely a first class hotel.
