Amsterdam Manor is a nice, clean facility on one of the best beaches in Aruba. This was our second stay. This time we had the superior studio. It included a room, small kitchenette, and a large bathroom.
The facility is located across the street from one of our favorite beaches in the world. Amsterdam Manor is not a full service facility, but you can't beat it for a nice condo on the beach (especially for the price.
We highly recommend this property. |

After going to Aruba for 23 years and staying at various resorts, this year we tried the Amsterdam Manor for the first time for a change of pace. Are we glad we did!
The room was amazing. It was big, spacious, well maintained, well stocked, and full of amenities.
The staff treated us like royalty. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The bar staff made us feel like we had known them our whole lives.
Mango's was a wonderful restaurant, and Chef Marc was an amazing master of cuisine! We received great food and great service.
They had a beach bar in addition to the pool bar - wonderful! The beach was never crowded, and even though the hotel was at capacity, we would never have known it! The pool was never crowded, either.
The free internet access was a nice touch, too.
We will definitely be staying here again next year. Kudos to Amsterdam Manor! |

This was our tenth trip to Aruba, and we've tried various hotels on the island over the years. But I think we've finally found "our home".
This was much better than staying at a hotel in the crowded high-rise area. The beach was never crowded and everyone remembered our names by the end of the first day.
The rooms were fantastic. Also, we loved the fact that we didn’t have to mess with towel cards or returning our towels at a certain time every day – they were always available at the front desk. Free internet service was also a plus. The offered great daily happy hours at both the beach bar and the pool bar.
We also received the friendliest and best service at the resort - from the bartenders to the staff at the front desk. |

A perfect place to relax and enjoy. Visited: January 2003 |

After visiting Aruba prior to this visit, we decided to stay at the Amsterdam Manor based upon what we had seen, heard about and its location. We weren't disappointed at all. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing location with a friendly staff who bends over backwards to make you stay as good as possible, the Amsterdam Manor is the place to be.
The resort is very clean and modern with all the extras one could want and/or use. Having free access to the internet as to stay in touch with family back home is especially nice and valuable.
Eagle Beach is among the best locations on the island, and offers many activities if one is inclined to get involved. Having happy hour from 5-6, and 9-10 every day makes for a great way to end a day on the beach, or just end the day.
When we return for yet another stay on the island, we will gladly stay at the Amsterdam Manor, as it helped make our vacation as nice as it was. |

A very nice resort with friendly staff! Visited: April 2002 |

My wife and I stayed at the Amsterdam Manor April 3rd through the 13th. Our room was very clean and nicely kept. It had a fully equipped kitchenette and a small refrigerator.
The pool area was nice. However, we spent most of our time on the beach, which was awesome!
The only thing that would make me think twice about staying here again was the sewage treatment plant about a mile away. This caused an unpleasant odor every once in a while.
If you are looking for a laid-back, European-style resort that is well kept and has a friendly staff (especially Janine), this is the resort for you! |

My family stayed at the Amsterdam Manor from Dec. 28th, 2001 until Jan. 4th, 2002. Upon our arrival we were informed that the 2-bedroom suite we had reserved months in advance had air conditioning problems and that they were putting us in a different room for one night only. To compensate us they gave us tickets to their Friday night dinner and show. Although that helped somewhat, our first night was not an enjoyable one in the room. We are a family of 4 with one teenage daughter and a ten-year old son. Somehow cramming us in a room with one bed and a pullout couch that we could hardly open was just so cramped and didn't cut it—no matter what they were going to give us to try and make us feel better.
They promised that by the next morning our two-bedroom suite would be ready. Unfortunately they did not deliver at the time they said it would be ready, but we kept ourselves busy and by late afternoon they had another room for us. This one did not disappoint. It was what we expected and we were all happy to be in the correct room, finally. This one had a beautiful view of the beach, which was right across the street and plenty of room.
The food was not anything spectacular. We opted to either eat out or we cooked in our room using the nicely equipped kitchen. I would not recommend buying food at the hotel mini-mart, as it is highly overpriced. We drove into town and did our shopping there at the local grocery store.
The staff was friendly and helpful and many knew us by name after only a couple of days. The manager threw a nice cocktail party on New Year’s Day with complimentary drinks and food. The grounds were nice and clean and the pool area was also nice, but we opted to spend more time on the beach then at the pool. The beach was very clean and the water was clear and beautiful.
Staying over the New Year we found that the local people love fireworks, you could pretty much hear them going off from the time we got there until the several hours after the New Year had been rung in. It was neat to see the entire sky lit up from one side of the island to the other for approximately 3-4 hours prior to midnight and after, but hearing the loud firecrackers in the middle of the night was somewhat disturbing when you are trying to sleep. It was overall an enjoyable stay and we would return again. |

We loved Amsterdam Manor! It was not your run-of-the-mill, big high rise hotel, with a million things and a ton of people. This was a small, well-run, quiet place to relax and enjoy our vacation.
The staff was very nice and the rooms were very clean. The beach was across the road, but honestly, it was hardly noticeable since the water was so close. One neat thing was that the guests had access to a computer with Internet service. We were able to keep up with our kids back home daily. We would definitely go back.

My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and decided to go to Aruba. We had been there several times on cruises and had stayed twice before (in different hotels). We choose the Amsterdam Manor for its price and location.
Although the shower was a little cramped, we truly enjoyed our studio room. The kitchenette was better equipped than we imagined. We would definitely return to the Amsterdam Manor.

Get away from the traditional and enter into a new culture. Our rooms were just the right touch with a kitchen and walk-in shower. Waterfall pool with many interesting sights including the pool side iguanas.
Beautiful white sand beach across the street set in Aruba's wonderful climate, hot with a nice calm constant breeze, made this vacation a number one hit. Amsterdam Manor is well worth the price, you won't be disappointed. |

It was a very pleasant place to stay in Aruba.
Exceptionally clean and people were very friendly. The rooms were furnished with traditional "tropical" furniture and were new and well kept.
The activities personnel were very friendly but were never on time, so I would not recommend scheduling any activities through them. The managers were very thoughtful and tried to accommodate our every wish.
Not a lot of kids here and was very quiet. The pool wasn't deep but was lovely and had a small waterfall.
The resort territory was wonderfully decorated with local pottery samples.
Overall, our impression was great. We would go back. |

During our stay the poolside bar had limited hours (as well as the restaurant), and that was a little disappointing. Food was excellent though. We would have liked to have stayed in our own hotel for meals and more entertainment but it was very limited. The little store on-site was well equipped with items that you may need - cost was a little high. Their hours were limited also.
Originally, we were put in a little room with a tiny bathroom on the second floor - I would rate that a 2-star room (it was clean but very, very tiny), but when we talked to management they moved us to a suite on the ground floor, which was superb.
Every worker that we came into contact with was very personable. Entertainment provided for the guests was excellent the one night they had it. The grounds were kept immaculate. Being right across from the beach was nice.
Anything you needed or wanted to do was close. Bus transportation was available right in front of the hotel which was also a plus. When we go back, we will definitely stay here again. |
