My husband and I were looking for a gorgeous, Caribbean, stress-free vacation spot for our honeymoon. After doing tons of internet research on great hotels in Aruba, I found the Bucuti Beach Resort.
From the reviews to the pictures on the hotel's website, I knew it was exactly what we needed. I was so right!
We enjoyed the champagne the minute we got to the hotel, were impressed by the incredible staff, and loved the amazing beach. The rooms were gorgeous and clean (we stayed in a renovated Superior). Also, we loved the location. The massage at the Tara Suites Spa was wonderful, too.
It was really the most relaxing and perfect vacation we have gone on. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a real vacation! |

This was an oustanding resort! Visited: October 2005 |

Our first trip to Aruba and the Bucuti was in October of 2003, and we loved everything about it. Our second trip was October 2005 when we got married on the beach at the Bucuti. This time, we stayed in the Tara Suites - which were outstanding (but the other rooms are great, too!).
The beach, the drinks and the staff at the Bucuti are the finest we have ever came across. We brought along four friends and one set of parents for the wedding, and they are all hooked on Aruba (but mostly the Bucuti) and everything about it!
I personally can't say enough nice things about these people. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, beach to relax on - this is the place. There are also more than enough activities, so you are never bored!
Try it, and you will not be disappointed! We are heading back in November of 2006 - and plan to do this every year! |

We couldn't have picked a more spectacular place.
The people on staff were fantastic. There was such a variety of things to do - from the peacefulness of our resort to the shopping and the nightlife. There was something for everyone.
We enjoyed our room. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved the tranquility of the beaches (which were gorgeous), and enjoyed the fun of "Happy Hour" where we met some wonderful people. We can't wait to go back! |

Bucuti Beach is a great, quiet location. Visited: April 2004 |

Aruba itself was a beautiful island. The beaches were magnificent, but the beach at Bucuti was unbeatable! I've been to a few of the beaches on the island, but Bucuti had the best one...it was picture perfect.
The people were truly sincere and kind, and always accommodating. And the beach was literally a walk from our backyard. The entire resort area was small and cozy, and gave it a very welcoming feel. It was a bit windy, but it definitely cooled off the heat.
I'd definitely come back here...hopefully next time, to their new suites. |

The beach was incredible - the best on the island. Following the Tranquilo tour of snorkeling, drinks, and great catered lunch, we were dropped off at the beach to wade ashore. It was awesome. Dinner on the beach should be done one night. All around, we had a great time and would return. It was easy to get into town on a bus or by cab. There was also a casino next door. |

We had such an awesome time last year during our week at Bucuti Beach (February 2003).
The service was exceptional, the staff was always helpful and the beach was fabulous! It was our first trip to Aruba, and we will return in February 2005 for eleven days.
We loved the peacefulness and lack of children...it was indeed a relaxing restorative trip! They also had the best beach on the island. |

We loved our stay here. It was small, quiet and they had the best beach on the island. We loved having so much space to ourselves on the beach.
The accommodations were comfortable, with a nice big terrace. We loved having our morning coffee (supplied by the hotel) on the terrace.
The staff couldn't do enough for us, and always seemed to be happy. We just enjoyed the whole atmosphere at the Bucuti. We will definitely go back. |

My wife and I just returned from a six-day stay. Each morning, I would step outside onto our room's terrace and walk barefoot across a lush lawn to the beach, which was only a few feet away. The beach was quiet, beautiful and very uncrowded. There were always plenty of beach huts available - a must for my lightskinned Irish complexion.
The staff was friendly and helpful at all times - each greeted us with a smile every day and knew us by name after just a few days. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out and the room itself was very attractive, although we didn't spend much time in it.
Bucuti was perfect as a quiet resort, however, the activities desk had brochures of island activities and could arrange things for you.
The hotel actively promoted environmental care and recycling and offered guests the opportunity to mingle with staff on environmentally conscious programs.
The Pirates Nest restaurant on the grounds was excellent - food as well as atmosphere - …….it was right on the beach. We used the available computers at the resort every day to check in with family back home.
Because the beach faced west, the sunset over the water each night was breathtaking. The entire Bucuti experience more than met our expectations in every regard and we look forward to returning soon to the Bucuti Beach Resort.

Enjoying Aruba means enjoying the entire island, its people, its geographical contrasts, its restaurants and its activities. This is so different than other Caribbean destinations.
As such, when visiting Aruba, the best resort to back up the island's unique greatness, would be one that is comfortable where the beach is fabulous and where the resort staff treats you like royalty. The Bucuti Beach Resort is all of this and more.
The staff is absolutely wonderful (John, Carsten, Izaira, Prince, etc.) and the beach area is without question the best on the island. As other e-mails have reflected, go to Bucuti to enjoy the romanticism and the wonderful atmosphere and then enjoy everything else the island has to offer with Bucuti as your R and R base. Without question, this is the best Caribbean vacation we have ever had! |

It was paradise - except for the rooms. Visited: September 2002 |

My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing vacation here thanks to the fantastic staff (all the Aruban people were wonderful). They also had one of the greatest beaches we've ever seen anywhere.
The crowd was a bit older and quieter than at some other resorts, which we liked. And, there were no kids -- I love kids but not on my vacation.
The downside was the small pool, small and limited gym, and very unromantic, basic rooms (even the bungalow suites, which felt very cramped to us). We switched to a beachfront room on the ground floor, which was a great location, but those rooms did not have king beds and felt like motel rooms. The bathrooms were the least luxurious and most basic of any resort bathrooms we've ever seen.
However, the whole place was so clean and well-kept, and so eco-conscious, that we didn't mind that much. The grounds were pretty and peaceful, and another plus was that it was only about 15 minutes from the airport.
We can't say enough good things about the staff and that amazing beach. With upgraded rooms, this would be a true paradise. |

Disappointing Visited: September 2002 |

All potential guests should be aware that there would seem to be an overbooking policy with this hotel. We booked our reservation in April this year, but upon arrival at the check-in desk in September we found that our room had been sold to someone else. We had been in frequent correspondence with the hotel up to 3 days before our arrival without any hint of a problem, so were greatly surprised, upset and disappointed when presented with the news after traveling all the way from Europe.
The hotel did place us in a suitable high-rise hotel, but it was not exactly the experience that we had hoped for.
With reference to other reviews it would seem that other parties have had the same problem.
This booking problem left a very bad taste and realy spoilt our first 24 hours on the island.
Aruba itself was great so we managed to overcome our initial disapointment to enjoy the rest of the week. |

Romance at its best! Visited: July 2002 |

My husband and I retreated to Aruba without the kids for what we hoped would be a romantic get-away in celebration of our 10 year anniversary. Was it ever a fantastic pick!
This was a first-time trip to Aruba, and we just loved the island, but if you are looking for romance, there isn't any place to be but Bucuti!
The whole hotel was just precious. However, we were able to stay in one of their bungalows on the beach and it had it's own little deck which was quite nice.
The beach was amazing-very quiet and tranquil! I'm from Florida, so I love the beach, but my husband is not quite as fond of it, so we were both thrilled to find that Bucuti had plenty of these really great huts for him to escape under while I continued to happily bask in the sun!
The highlight of romance was the dinner on the beach that we shared at Bucuti's restaurant-we were able to take off our shoes, put our feet in the warm sand and share an unbelievable five course meal together!
We loved this place-everything about it was wonderful from the people and the service to the accommodations and the food! Go for it-take that romantic get-away to Bucuti Beach, you will love it! |

We spent our 10 year anniversary at Bucuti Beach Resort and had one of the best vacations of our lives.
The service was excellent, the rooms were great, and the restaurant on the beach was fabulous. I would recommend Bucuti for couples or families.
We are hoping to get back soon, and we may bring the kids next time... maybe! |

My husband and I just stayed at the Bucuti for our honeymoon and we loved it!
The beach was beautiful and spacious, and the people were friendly. The location of the hotel was great as well. The rooms were not fancy, but they were clean and adequate.
We loved Bucuti! |

There is not a whole lot more to add from what has already been listed about Bucuti.
After touring some of the other hotels on the island, there is no where else I would stay. It is quiet, secluded and breathtakingly beautiful.
But if you want a lot of people around, a lot of activities waiting for you or lush, beautiful landscaping with lots of waterfalls, etc, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax in a beautiful environment with someone you love, stay at Bucuti! |

I cannot add much more to the reviews already here. The beach was so beautiful and expansive. It was not like the tight sand beaches of the resort area. You could walk for almost two miles without interruption on this beach.
The one thing I can add is that they overbooked the hotel. So when we got here (even though we were guaranteed by our tour operator that this does not happen to them), we had to spend the first night in the Radisson.
They were very apologetic about the situation and Deborah did everything to make it right in the end. I mentioned the overbooking because in my research on other websites, the overbooking theme happened enough for me to mention it to our tour operator.
So, although our vacation started on a sour note, I would only stay at the Bucuti Beach Resort when I return. |

I took a chance on staying here and it definitely paid off.
It was better than the crowded high-rises. It was small enough for total and peaceful relaxation, but just big enough for high quality service.
The topless beach (as a normal every day custom of Aruba) added the perfect romantic touch to this vacation. |
