5.0 stars It was a wonderful experience! Visited: July 2007

We spent three days here after leaving a nearby resort (that will remain nameless).

The staff was great! The food was first class. The manager, Zack, was more than accommodating.

This place went the extra mile, and we are coming back!

5.0 stars Bluff House is our favorite hotel. Visited: April 2004

My wife and I were fortunate to have discovered Bluff House and Green Turtle Cay many years ago, and most recently spent ten days here in April 2004.

It's one of those places that keeps saying "same time next year". You also might find, like we did, that once a year isn't always enough.

The hotel is situated on the highest point of Green Turtle Cay so it has the best views on the island. From the hustle and bustle of the marina on White Sound to the sunsets over the Sea of Abaco-you see it all at The Bluff House. The stars at night are beautiful, as well.

Accommodations vary from rooms for two to villas for a family. The rooms are spread out over the property which is quite large and well landscaped. There are also two swimming pools here. Rooms and villas are well kept, very comfortable, and offer gorgeous views.

We've noticed that the staff remains the same year after year and have found them to become like family who will do anything for you. These are wonderful people who take pride in their work and are eager to make your stay very comfortable.

The restaurants at Bluff House offer all you could want. Breakfast is served in the main house. Dinner is also served here as well. The meals and service are unforgettable. There's still a bit of British formality left at Bluff House.

We eat most of our meals at The Jolly Roger which is the restaurant at the marina. They serve lunch and dinner and you don't need reservations. Green Turtle Cay's own "Gully Roosters" play at Jolly Roger once a week on Bar-B-Que night. Don't miss them.

Whatever you want to do on Green Turtle can either be done there or arranged for you. Lincoln Jones' fish/snorkel picnic is fantastic, but so is diving with Brendal. Both can be arranged at the hotel, along with some of the best bonefishing in the world. In-shore bottom fishermen as well as offshore blue water specialists will feel at home here also.

The best way to travel is by golf cart. You can rent one from Bay Street Rentals right at the hotel and go into town. New Plymouth is a must see with its roots in colonial New England architecture. Don't forget to stop at Miss Emily's Blue Bee Bar to try the Bahamas' original "Goombay Smash."

The beaches on the island are all beautiful and Bluff House even has a beach of its own. The island's only tennis court can also be found here. We'll be staying at Bluff House again next April - too bad we couldn't sneak out sooner.

5.0 stars This has been my favorite haunt since 1996. Visited: May 2003

Okay, if you got this far, you found it, paradise on earth! I am a person who usually sees something once, gets his t-shirt, grins and goes away never returning. Green Turtle Cay and the Bluff House have changed that for me - forever. My travels will return me to the Bluff House at least annually and more frequently if fortune smiles.

The accommodations are excellent, the staff is absolutely supreme and the food served at the club house dining room is always of the highest caliber.

Management of the Bluff House has assembled a truly diverse group of employees that would almost have you believe that you are the only guest of concern at their establishment. In this group are some real personalities that will come to mind for you in your future life. You just can't forget them!

While visiting here, there is no one to push you toward or away from any activity. Actually, you may have to inquire to find your activity of interest.

Don't be fooled into thinking that there is nothing to do but rest and relax at the magnificent beaches, enjoy the beautiful blue waters reflecting tropical foliage or warming tropical climate. Fishing, snorkeling and dining are always available at the sportsman or family level of experience.

The local citizens are as colorful and friendly as any I have ever met and I relish the opportunities to learn of thier culture, their daily concerns and their future aspirations. I must say that in my opinion the average Bahamian is fiercely proud of whom he or she is.

This is the one place on earth, other than home, that I will return to again and again.

4.0 stars Beautiful jewel of an island and a tranquil resort. Visited: July 2001

I spent 10 days on Green Turtle Cay at the Bluff House. The staff at BH was friendly and courteous. The food was fabulous--$30 for a three course dinner, with such choices as lobster, steak, and grouper every night. They also had a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres in the main house before dinner every night--very civilized.

It was very convenient to get to--fly to Treasure Cay, take a short taxi ride to the ferry and a short boat trup later, you are on the dock of the hotel.

We dove with Brendal's Dive Shop and he had some great sites. Everyone got around on GTC in golf carts. The east side of the island had one long reef close to shore and some excellent snorkeling.

New Plymouth was as quaint and charming as any place I have ever seen in the Bahamas, and I have stayed in Nassau, on Long Island, and on Crooked Island.

There were two swimming pools and two bars/restaurants at the resort, but it did not have a 'big resort' feel at all. I'd love to return.
