4.0 stars Stress lost and paradise found at Green Turtle Resort. Visited: March 2008

This is it - Paradise in a tangible form. No, it's not the Ritz (thank God), but it's just beautiful.

The staff ais friendly but not over the top. Everybody just has a calm attitude.

You can spend little or lots of money - it's up to you. Whichever you choose, they make no changes in how they look after you here.

It was terrible.

The staff did not seem into it at all. The food was disappointing, and there were bugs everywhere. I went three days with dirty towels!

5.0 stars It was one of my best vacations ever! Visited: February 2003

My wife and I went here for our first "island vacation" by ourselves since having our twins four years ago.

After spending eight nights at the the "Turtle" I can definitely say that we hit a "Bulls Eye" on this vacation destination choice. The weather was in the upper 70s to 80 each day, with rain late one evening.

The ambience at the "Turtle" was very romantic as we were easily seduced into the beautiful surroundings of powdered sand beaches, the bluest of waters, golf cart transit, and an abundance of the most friendly people I've ever encountered on a trip.

The service at the "Turtle" was excellent and the quality of the food was fabulous.

The third largest barrier reef in the world was just a short distance off shore and provided world class snorkling, diving and fishing. The skies at night sparkled with a million stars on this island with little or no crime.

The "Turtle" was a stress eliminating antedote to our normal responsibilities and a destination I look forward to returning to again.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Green Turtle Club. The rooms were spacious and elegant and the restaurant was excellent with a gourmet menu that changed nightly. The cute town of New Plymouth was pristine.

The staff and management are excellent—very friendly with attention to detail. The restaurant is outstanding. The rooms are large, clean and attractive. We rented a golf cart and explored the Island. Great beaches! A visit to the town of New Plymouth is a must. Excellent bonefishing. We will be back!

5.0 stars Personal, quaint, and secluded! Visited: October 2001

We stayed at Green Turtle Club for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! It was very quiet and relaxing. The island can only be reached by boat, so you have to fly into Treasure Cay and take a cab ($3 per person) to the ferry dock. The water ferry ($8 per person) will drop you off right at the Green Turtle Club.

Our favorite parts were the room, the food, and the landscaping. The room had a patio and looked out over the harbor. It was very spacious and had hardwood floors, mahogany furniture, colorful, soft bedspreads, and wicker chairs. There was a separate bathroom and vanity area.

The food was excellent! Each day you look over the dinner menu by 5pm--it's different each day. At 7:30 they come and get you from the bar and take you to your candlelit dinner table. You are served a salad and bread, followed by your choice of entree. The food tasted absolutely amazing--some of the best I've ever had. Order the beef tenderloin if you can! Hot breakfast is served from 7 to 10:30 and is very good! The dining area for breakfast is a screened-in porch looking out on the Club's beach. The bar staff could have been more knowledgeable and could have had more domestic beer, but try the Tipsy Turtle Rum Punch--it's great!

Something that we noticed immediately and admired the whole week was the landscaping. There are paths that lead up to the cottage-style rooms. They are lined with tropical flowers and bushes. There are lots of hydrangeas around the main house. Conch shells are a part of landscaping across the entire island. They are everywhere! We were told that we probably wouldn't find any whole conchs, but we found about 12 washed up in a deserted cove! The beaches are usually empty and beautiful. They are a short stroll from the Green Turtle Club. We rented a scooter for 24 hours (very reasonably priced, but reserve yours a day or two in advance). We had a blast riding up and down the 3.5-mile island! We explored the beaches in several quiet coves and visited the small town of New Plymouth. Food and gifts are cheaper in the town than out at Green Turtle.

When going to a place like this, you are so excited that you want to tell everyone about it—but then again, you don't want anyone to know about it! We can't wait to go back.

The Green Turtle club was wonderful. Rooms right on the water, secluded beaches minutes away, and the restaurant was amazing! This is the place to be for a quiet, romantic trip away!

We went to Green Turtle Club for our anniversary and loved it. The rooms were very large with an attention to detail and the restaurant was excellent. The staff was also great. We are already planning on going back next year.
