This facility is closed! Needs major reinvestment. Visited: February 2003 Posted by tpilcher This facility is nestled on a beautiful stretch of beach, however, the place is in need of major work. Club Med was a neighbor to the house I rented this past February 2003 and I enjoyed walking by wondering what was and what could be someday. At the time, Club Med was not open and was in poor condition. I mean poor -- roofs, railings and windows were damaged or non-existent. Air conditioners were removed from all rooms. Trash and building pieces litter the landscaping. The resort was just a short ride away, and all of the anticipation was worth it. It was the most carefree, easy going, and relaxing vacation ever! The staff was pleasant, and fun. The rooms (no distractions whatsoever) were so comfortable. The kids’ clubs were a great way for my husband and I to get in some quiet time together. The views, the food, the staff, the power walks at dawn, the games led by Teach and Cat, the sailing, the snorkeling, the thrill of the trapeze, the rush of being on stage in the nightly revue.
