Freeport Resort and Club offers a tranquil setting. Visited: December 1969 Posted by donnag If you don't want to bothered with large crowds and hotel-like accommodations, this is the place. It offers a nice pool, tennis courts, and is within walking distance to the International Bazaar and more. Hurricane damage in 2004 is still evident in areas around, like the golf course and casino. They have very friendly staff, a nice BBQ area, and hot tubs. It's just a short distance from Port Lucaya (ten minutes), and transportation is provided to the grocery store and other places.
