Is this place fun or what? From the minute you pass through the gates at this off-beat little jewel, a guest can't help but get the sense that an overgrown kid had a great time dreaming this place up.

Surrounded by nutty-looking little bungalows painted in a rollicking array of junkanoo colors, (Yes, that's your guest room, sir) guests can't help but be infected by the joyful mood.

There are 3 room types among only 18 units all with A/C on those hot summer nights. Sea View Studio Huts; Sea View and Elevated Sea View Huts; Sea Front and Elevated Sea Front Huts. All rooms have ceiling fans, bath robes, hairdryers, in-room fridge, in-room safe, coffee maker and kettle, Flat Screen TV, DVD player, cable, personal sun patio/balcony facing the ocean, and rocking chairs. The elevated huts have their bedroom on stilts over an open-air dining area and concealed kitchenette.

The oceanfront open-air restaurant and bar, which serves three meals a day, offers a lively nighttime scene, but beautiful at any time of the day. Inside dining room/bar is more elegant and a perfect option when the weather is poor or for a change of atmosphere. The food is tasty mix of local Bahamian and International cuisine filled with plenty of seafood options. And service here is great, warm, friendly and -- you guessed it -- fun.

Compass Point is situated on two acres of some of the most expensive real estate in the Bahamas near one of the few stretches of beach along the island's northwest. Aside from the two small sandy cove-beaches on property, there is easy access to the adjoining 2 mile-long Love Beach. Additionally, there is a large hot tub, dock, sun-deck and swimming pool, bar and gift shop.
