Awful! Visited: June 2003

This was a terrible experience. The owners were rude, unwelcoming and hostile. Luckily we only stayed there one night and went to another resort, which was great!

It was a perfect dream. Visited: May 2003

I was lucky enough to discover the Bahama House via this website, and thanks to the other review, was able to find them. John was very helpful via e-mails back and forth, always responding quickly and letting me know whatever I needed to do.

Our stay was an absolute dream come true. It was the first time for either of us to visit the Bahamas, and John, Joni, and all of the locals made it so easy for us!

Our room was exactly what we'd wanted - nice and simple. The grounds were so well maintained, and the breakfasts were great. We only just got home last night, and I'm already planning our next visit!

I'm torn recommending such a great spot, I don't want too many people "discovering" such a fantastic place, but John and Joni deserve the business!

Very comfortable rooms, great breakfasts! Visited: March 2000

My wife and I have stayed at Bahama House for two years. I have visited Harbour Island on and off for 15 years. This is one of the most beautiful houses on the island, full of gorgeous gardens.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are most comfortable. John and Joni turn out lovely breakfasts and are considerate hosts. If they let young children stay there we'd be going back, but they (in common with many hotels on the island), bar small children.

You can check out some of the rooms, views and rates at their web site.
