One of the best beaches ever! Visited: December 2001 |

| I came here with a few of my co-workers. We all had a great time. The food was average, and we had to share a dining table with strangers, which is okay if you feel like it. The accommodations were clean, and about at the level of a Hilton. The service was decent, with a few shining stars, but also a couple rotten apples. I'd go back for the beach alone! |

It really couldn't be this bad! Could it? Visited: May 2001 |

| Upon arrival we were advised that you couldn't drink the water but could buy it for $3.00 a bottle. We paid for an oceanfront room only to find out it was right next to the outdoor theater and bar that ran late into the night. We moved rooms but didn't get a refund. All that I did get was food poisoning, bad enough to call the infirmary for medical assistance. This lasted two days. Then my wife got it. Be aware that there is no other place to eat on the island. I could continue but I think you get the idea. By the way, up until this point we were big fans of Club Med. This was the 15th time we visited one. It was our 3rd time at Columbus Isle, and our last. |

| I have stayed at this charming little hotel for the past 10 years. I have also stayed at some of the top luxury resorts here, as well. Given a choice I would stay at Riding Rock. The rooms are as nice, the people are nicer and the beaches are the best of anywhere I have been. If you’re looking for a name, go elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place to dive and relax, stay at Riding Rock. | |

Best Vacation Ever for Family of Seasoned Travelers Visited: June 2001 |

| Our vacation on Columbus Isle was the most fun, yet relaxing vacation we've ever had and we'll go back year after year. We're a multi-generational family from ages 14 to 70 and everyone loved it. The food was fantastic. Our rooms were beautiful. The ocean water was turquoise and clear. The GO's were fun and helpful. We sailed, swam, played tennis, shot archery and learned to scuba dive and water ski. Our teenage son was fascinated by all of the beach scenery. Next year we'll be back for two weeks. |

| I found Club Med Columbus Isle to be so exciting, yet peaceful. The GO's were great and the food was out of this world. Just about anything you could think of to eat was here. The water was clear and refreshing. The rooms were relaxing and clean. I definitely would go back year after year. |

One of the best 'resort' vacations |

| We are a family of 4 with a 13-year-old and a 19-year-old. We spent 2 weeks at Club Med Colombus Isle. We were experienced Club Med'ers and this was definitely one of the best villages we have been to with something for everyone. The accommodation and the facilities were excellent - tastefully furnished rooms with quiet air-conditioning, deck, TV and phone. The quality of the beach was superb, soft white sand, with plenty of room for everyone and a warm clean sea. There was also a very nice pool although it could have been a bit bigger. While the club attracts divers (we didn't dive), we found that there were plenty of other activities. The sports team were very well organized and great fun. We took tennis lessons every morning and learned a lot!! The food was very good but not gourmet. However, particular praise should go to the baker and pastry chef. The bar was good even if prices were similar to New York. There was even a happy hour which would have been better if it covered all drinks and not just certain cocktails. However, Club Med needs to get a better system than the bar tickets - there must be another way such as charging direct to the room (like at Club Med Val d'Isere). There were shows every evening which were performed very professionally. The 'kids' show was one of the high spots. It was amazing how the Club motivates and organizes them in such a short time. I also have enjoyed the bar games - more of them please - and the weekly kareoke night. This was not a Club for families with young children but if you had sporty teenagers this was the place to go. They can have fun in a secure environment with a competent and friendly staff. |

| Just came back from Columbus Isle and found it to be the most beautiful place I have been to. The service was fantastic, the activities were plentiful and at the same time, it was extremely relaxing. I recommend this Club Med to anyone. |

| It may take us 2 days via commercial air to get to San Salvador, but, stepping off the van into the Pavillion is just the beginning of our stay in paradise. We returned to Columbus Isle for our first wedding anniversary and plan to return one more time next year. From the GO's, who greet you with a cool fruit drink and song as you arrive for your stay, to the tour of the grounds as you head to your room, to the wonderful houskeeping staff (who understand that I am on vacation and do not wish to be disturbed at 7:00 am or possibly at 12:00 noon for them to clean my room), to Allen and staff at the bar. I just can't say enough about this property. They included the locals during one of the evening shows which afforded me the opportunity to learn about their traditions. This by far is paradise on earth! Don't be disappointed by the airport that is smaller than most 2-bedroom homes...it only gets better from there. This resort truly knows how to "make" you learn to "chill mon." |

| The diving is first class, with the wall being several hundred yards off the beach. Dropping over the side gives the diver a feeling of free falling into the deep. The visability is the best of any diving I have ever experienced. The fish are friendly and more than willing to have their picture taken. I will be back soon! | |
