A superb location, very friendly staff - it was a perfect place to stay. Visited: April 2002 Posted by victoria We stayed here for our honeymoon for three weeks. It was a perfect location with all the advantages of the more expensive hotels without the cost. The staff was wonderfully friendly. We heard there were plans to close down and rebuild. An excellent location at a budget price. Visited: February 2001 Posted by bhinson What a wonderful place! So friendly and no hassle. It’s the first place we have been where the staff and guests made us feel like new members of the family. The plumbing could use an update and it would be nice to have new kitchen units. Everything was cleaned every day and the studios were generous in size. The location is all you could ever want. The on-site restaurant is good and basic, yet the staff has a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. The staff even brought their children in to play on Saturday. Location great, rooms in need of TLC Visited: July 2000 Posted by ATraveler My friend and I attempted to stay at this hotel in July of 2000. I say attempted because, after informing us that our room with two beds had been given to other clients, the manager told us we would have the penthouse, which had a single bed. We thought, okay, that's a fair exchange. Well, the room was in desperate need of a good cleaning and repair. It had a patio with rusty, overturned furniture. A warm friendly hotel in a beautiful location Visited: December 1999 Posted by murrayivan We stayed here for the Millennium and had a fabulous holiday. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel staff were always willing to help. The views from our balcony were breathtaking and the beach was superb. This was the perfect location for people who want a relaxing holiday and a base to explore the island. There were many shopping centres nearby and reasonable supermarkets. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a budget holiday on the most beautiful and friendly island in the Caribbean. Visited: June 1999 Posted by AlisdairGB I have stayed in this hotel twice before, and have already booked for summer 2000. The location is perfect, overlooking the Caribbean, yet close to Holetowns attractions. It's only a short bus ride into Bridgetown. There rooms are basic but clean and the staff is excellent. Superb location on the beach and on the fabulous West Coast. Visited: December 1969 Posted by ATraveler The Inn on the Beach is on a beautiful location with its' gardens looking directly onto the sands of the fabulous West Coast. The rooms are clean and comfortable with air-conditioning and a balcony or small patio overlooking small tropical gardens or the pool area and gardens. Posh, it isn't? But very presentable and again - location, location, location. There is a modern shopping Centre across the road (literally) and numerous restaurants of varying price ranges within easy walking distance. The center of Holetown is only yards from the hotel, but is not intrusive. Taxi's wait outside the shopping center or the hotel will arrange transportation from any of the many companies on the island. This is a very affordable hotel in the premier location on Barbados. Hoping to visit for a 6th time Visited: December 1969 Posted by ATraveler I have visited this hotel 5 times. Once as a young, married couple and then 4 addtional times with my husband, two young boys and my mom. The Inn on the Beach is not fancy, but it is clean and efficient. The location is perfect for familes. The Andrews family and the staff are wonderful. They make one feel at home, without being intrusive. If you need fancy decor and snooty servants, this is not the place for you. If you are happy to enjoy the beauty of St. James' beach, the convenient location of Holetown and the company of some very nice "regulars," Inn on the Beach is for you.
