One of the nicest resorts in Barbados! Visited: December 1969 Posted by ATraveler We checked in here after a three-day stay on the South coast and were amazed at the difference in both beach and hotel. There was constant upkeep on the grounds. The rooms were very spacious and well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and always said hello. Tamarind's pool areas were very spaced out so not everyone was cluttered around one spot and it was nice and quiet. We walked along the beach as far as we could go, and this was the nicest hotel on this stretch of the beach. Security was abundant and you felt safe while no peddlers bothered you. Visited: December 1969 Posted by mmendoza We transferred from the south coast and were immensely impressed by the friendly atmosphere and perfect location. Lots of regular visitors and the staff vs. guests cricket match was great fun. Exceptional food in all restaurants and lots of variety - BBQ on Thursday, Beach party on Monday, etc. Kids club in peak holiday periods was homey and the kids fell in love with the lady who ran it and her Easter egg hunts. Felt safe enough to let kids run around on their own and the staff made you feel like nothing was too much trouble. Location was ideal with lots to do in nearby Holetown, if you feel the need to travel around. The water taxi service between the sister hotels was a useful way to provide variety and the transfer dining scheme was a good idea.
