5.0 stars This would be perfect second honeymoon - or first! Visited: February 2008

This was our first time back to Barbados since our honeymoon 28 years ago. It was a surprise for my loving wife. Little Arches exeeded all our expectations.

The hotel staff went out of their way to help with any questions or needs we had. They made us feel like we were staying with friends. The hotel itself was charming and the rooms were beautiful.

Cafe Luna Restaurant was beautiful and airy with wonderful ocean views. The food was delicious, and served magnificently by all staff members. The owners have every right to be proud of the hotel / restaurant and its employees.

The tree lined beach was a short walk - and well worth the trip. I would recommend renting a car to explore the island and take advantage of some of the great restaurants only four miles away at St. Lawrence Gap.

We cannot wait to return to the island, and to Little Arches, of course! Our special thanks to all, for making this long overdue vacation perfect!

5.0 stars Luna Cafe is divine! Visited: September 2005

We got to know Moo while staying in Barbados. Moo is a surfer, and one of the principals and the chef at Luna Cafe. Anyway, all the locals we met said Moo's restaurant was one of the best places in Barbados to eat.

We gave it a try with a couple we had met from Canada. The place was resplendent. Needless to say, we were very impressed. My husband was a waiter at a five-star resort while in college. He said he'd never had such wonderful service.

I don't know how to explain in words how good it was. I had the tuna with duck sauce. My husband had the snapper. We went back a second evening for the rack of lamb. Wow, was that a treat! The service was divine, and the food was amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant being outside on the deck under the stars in the breeze was perfect. If you go to Barbados, you have to put Cafe Luna on your list!

My wife and I spent seven nights at Little Arches. A seven-day stay included a fantastic breakfast. We could not have had a better experience.

The rooms, the beach, Oistens Fishing Village, and the rooftop restaurant (don't miss sushi night) exceeded expectations. But the best part was the staff. We really felt like we were leaving friends. Jonathon, Moo, Christain, etc. - you guys were awesome and we look forward to next time - keep surfing!

If you're looking for a cozy, quiet and beautiful place to stay in Barbados, stay at Little Arches.

The staff here provides excellent customer service. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and professional.

Also, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and the food and staff at Cafe Luna are great. The bigger chain hotels could definitely learn a lot from Little Arches.

Everything about this place was charming. I couldn't believe how pleasant and accommodative staff members were both in the hotel and in the restaurant.

Our room was nice, the pool area was lovely, and the view from the restaurant was stunning. Not to mention, it was top-class food.

Little Arches is highly recommended for those looking for a quiet hotel that's close to the action.

5.0 stars What a lovely place to stay. Visited: August 2003

My six days and five nights in Little Arches, Barbados was unforgettable. Both my girlfriend and I loved it here so much because of the following:

1. Very private hotel but also very close to local town. There were only ten lovely rooms, and you don't see a big crowd in the hotel. It was a very relaxing and quiet hideaway place.

2. Beautiful and well maintained facilities -- the entire place was very clean, and the second floor garden/pool was perfect. Swimming pool was great, nice for a quiet soak after a full day partying on the island. The little garden was also well maintained. Lovely plants and flowers were all around. Didn't have enough time to take an afternoon nap in the couch area, that's a regret.

3. Really nice Beach (Miami Beach) -- why do we come to Barbados? For the beach. We found what we wanted here -- white silk powdery sand, great for swimming or a walk on the beach.

4. Great staff in the hotel -- the general manager was helping us so much to make sure we were having a great time. The entire staff in the Luna Cafe took great care of us when we were hungry.

5. Luna Cafe -- this is a restaurant you don't want to miss. On the top floor of Little Arches, you will find Luna Cafe. They had great food, superb service and an awesome view overlooking the ocean. Don't forget to try the mango shrimp, and don't forget to ask for the guy from Vancouver, Canada -- a very friendly staff there, and he will try his best to fill your hungry belly.

6. The "I feel I want to come back next time for more days" feeling tells me that this place is truly unique. We passed by many big name hotels on the island, but we never felt they would be as good as Little Arches. You will get much, much, much more than the amount of money you paid for staying here.

Still not enough? Come here and check it out yourself. You will want to write a review for this lovely place, too.

5.0 stars This is a perfect hideaway! Visited: July 2003

I just returned from ten nights at Little Arches Hotel and loved it! If you want a small, friendly and romantic hideaway in Barbados, this is the spot.

It was the only hotel on Miami beach (that's a local nickname, I think it's really called Enterprise Beach), so there were very few tourists about. It was very private with white powdery sand and was great for swimming. We never really went elsewhere at all, we liked Maimi Beach so much!

The hotel itself was absolutely lovely. It was located on a quiet cul-de sac which ended at the beach. The hotel overlooked the Caribbean sea (it was about 100 yards to the beach from our room). There were too many personal little touches to list, but my wife was crazy for the hand made pottery sink in our room. I was partial to the super comfy king-sized four poster bed myself!

The staff was fantastic, too. From housekeepers through to the owners (who were always there), everyone went out of their way to make sure we were having a great vacation.

The food was awesome. The menu changed every night and was really interesting and different. The chef, Mark from Vancouver, Canada, was also part owner of the restaurant - Cafe Luna, and he was great.

Breakfast was complimentary every morning we were here (if you stay seven nights, it's included). It was delicious and very varied. We actually commented one evening on how we'd like to try some local lobster and what do you think the following night's special was? That's what I call service!

They also had a private 42-foot yacht that brought guests out for a complimentary cruise if you stay here ten nights or more. It was the hightlight of our vacation.

If you want small and intimate with style, you'll love it here. We've booked next year already, and we usually don't go to the same place twice. I hope this helps you. I had a hard time finding a review of Little Arches myself, so wanted to be sure to let people know what a gem it was.

5.0 stars Little Arches is a private, low key, romantic and wonderful place. Visited: May 2003

My husband and I visited Barbados for the first time this past year. We always perfer smaller, less touristy hotels and Little Arches was exceptional!

The staff was helpful and freindly. The owners were onsite occasionally and so familiar and warm. Because Little Arches is family owned and operated, we got personal attention which was so much nicer than being a number at a larger hotel.

It was located away from all the hustle, but still close enough to anything we desired. We loved it! The hammocks by the pool were the best - we could lay out in the evening and feel the wonderful breeze and drift away or enjoy the beautiful sunset.

We hate larger hotels and overcrowded areas. This hotel was perfect in every way. It is a definite must for those who require peace and quiet. It made our stay in Barbados so much more than we had hoped for. It was a truly lovely place.
