Elegant, pretty and very clean Visited: December 1969 Posted by And56Vra The Colony Club was a wonderful surprise for us. After staying at a low budget hotel for our first night in Barbados, we moved to the Colony not knowing what to expect. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and we even got an extra single bed for our use without even asking. The bathrooms were not the newest, but were big and very clean. The balcony was spacious with plenty of chairs and tables. The grounds were the best part of the hotel. There was a lot of natural beauty all around. The plants, trees and flowers were lush and beautiful. There was one especially huge tree which made you think you were in a rainforest. The pools were wonderfully laid out and the beach was only steps away. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
