This was a horrible hotel. Visited: February 2008 Posted by evette The food was awful, the rooms were stinky and small, we could not even open our room door as the bed was in the way, and two peoople could not be in the bathroom at the same time. Also, there were only five beach umbrellas for the entire hotel, and you had to run down before 7 am to get one. Or, you could rent one for the day for $5, but they only had five of those, too. There was no natural beach shade, so if you did not have an umbrella, you were fried. In addition, I thought the staff was rude and unhelpful. This hotel was a joke. It is old, and needs to be demolished and rebuilt (as it is a good location). They only had one bar, and it was for the beach and the eating area. It smelled so bad, I could not go to get a drink as I would have gotten sick. I sent my husband all the time (and we were here for two weeks). He did not like it either, but one of us had to get the beverages. The gulls (birds) would land on our table and eat off the plates as they were not chased away from staff. Even when we tried to chase them off our plates, they ignored us as they were very bold. This was disgusting. Eating at this hotel was smelly with filthy birds. It was so bad, we actually left this hotel and got a different hotel at our cost. We could not stand it. I complained to our Air Canada rep, and she said it was not her problem (and actually hung up on me). It was not a very good holiday. However, the water was amazing. The reef that was out a ways calmed the inner water and it was clear and lovely. Also, you must eat at Lobster Alive in Bridgetown.
