Small, intimate and with a reputation as an escape for
camera-shy Europeancelebrities, Coconut Creek is an informal resort on
Barbados' West Coast, about one mile south of Holetown.
The property's lushly landscaped grounds resemble a British
country retreat.About half of the units sit atop a low bluff overlooking
what might be the two most secluded beaches on this side of the island, which are
reachable by boat or from the hotel's gardens.
Many of the comfortable, airy accommodations are built on a
low cliff ledge overlooking the sea, while others overlook the pool of the
flowering gardens.True to its sense of privacy, each of the rooms comes with
its own terrace or balcony, where you can enjoy your meals in peace and quiet.
In keeping with its British charm, Cricketers, the hotel's
only restaurant, was modeled after an upscale English pub.
Bajan buffets and barbecues are served here in a
vine-covered pergola overlooking the ocean and gardens.
In addition to the complimentary water sports and pool,
guests can play tennis at a nearby court.
