This was our first time to Barbados and Coconut Court. The beach was outstanding, and not all hotels have nice beaches.
The staff was wonderful - very friendly and helpful.
We booked a superior beach studio, but upgraded to the deluxe beachfront. The bathroom in the superior room was too small. Make sure you ask for a room with a view, because it is incredible.
We loved the beach bar and the fact that the pool and bathrooms were right near the beach. We will be back some day! |

My family and I first visited Barbados back in 2002, and stayed at Coconut Court. When we arrived, we were made very welcome. Both of my daughters (then ages 14 and 20) enjoyed the activities that the hotel offered, especially the beach volleyball, which broke the ice and friends were made.
My husband and I found that the whole ambiance of the hotel to be very relaxing and friendly. The staff was very helpful, and we felt that they would do anything for us.
The beach was amazing! It was very safe, and perfect for snorkeling. It would be ideal for families with children, as they were well catered for with special activities for all ages - even little ones - so that the parents can really relax.
The rooms were very clean, comfortable, but not luxurious, which was not a problem as we were hardly in our rooms (only to sleep, shower or sometimes eat, as we had a full kitchen). The views from the balcony were straight out to sea, and ideal for watching the stunning sunsets.
Its position was ideally situated for either Bridgetown or The Gap, and public transport stopped right outside the hotel.
This year (2006) we are returning for our fourth trip to Barbados, back to Coconut Court. We have tried other hotels, but this one remains in our memory for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere and its ease for reaching other parts of the island. |
