It was not too bad. Visited: May 2009 Posted by k_sj It is a nice place to stay, away from the outside world. The only problem I have is during the day the rooms are very hot, and there are no fans or air conditioning in the rooms. Visited: April 2008 Posted by imaani We stayed at Ocean Spray during our trip in April. It was very affordable. When we walked in, we could see why. It was very minimal. However, the view of the ocean was amazing. We could see the surfers out there early in the morning. It was not a sandy beach, there was more moss. Our best bet was to drive down to Dover. It was beautiful! There were a lot of little frogs and toads, and those tiny lizards. They were so cute. The housekeeping was not great, and there was no working phone. Also, there was nowhere within walking distance to go. And the worst part was on our second to last day, there was this giant cockroach climbing on the kitchen cupboard. I almost fainted. After a grueling 14-hour flight with three children, we landed feeling sick and tired. Our first night in Ocean Spray was peaceful and cool, but waking up to the sound of breaking waves and the sea breeze entering the apartment was enough to cause a 100% recovery. The area was quiet, and the staff was so friendly and helpful in every way. Visited: February 2003 Posted by husselskim We stayed here because it was inexpensive and we were really delighted that is was actually very nice. It was just a stone's throw from the ocean and Long Beach. You are left all to yourself to enjoy your stay. You have a kitchenette, hot and cold water, a balcony to view the ocean, direct dialed phone line, and peace and quiet.
