I had a great vacation. Visited: August 2007 Posted by morrisx6 These apartments were great. They were centrally located and well maintained. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and gazing at the ocean. Also, in reality, it was much nicer than on the pictures. Gap is in walking distance, and we could see the beach from the patio. Rydal Waters is a great beach hideaway. Visited: June 2002 Posted by pamammons Six of us stayed at Rydal Waters, Upper and Lower for a week and couldn't have been happier. The accommodations were perfect for beach living and the location provided us with a "homeyness" we didn't expect. Because of the proximity, we were able to walk into St. Lawrence Gap every day for either lunch or dinner, or both. There were also grocery stores, banks and shops withing walking distance. The apartments were stocked with everything we needed to make us comfortable and the boys enjoyed being able to watch the World Cup Soccer series thanks to the satellite dishes. A great reasonably-priced accommodation! Visited: January 2002 Posted by johnathon_hart2002 My girlfriend and I recently stayed here for a few weeks with another couple. The apartment had everything that we could possibly want. The apartment was ideal for two couples, as it had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and tons of living space so we never felt cramped. The apartment was also very well decorated and extremely clean and well maintained. It was fantastic being so close to the beach. The sea was very calm and the beach was beautiful with white sand. The apartment was also fairly close to St. Lawrence Gap, which made getting to restaurants and bars very easy. Although the noise from the area did not disturb us at night as it was not significant. In summary, if you are looking for a place that offers you value for your money, I would highly recommend this place. Visited: June 2000 Posted by marion_mulvey A friend and myself stayed in the apartments for 16 nights. The apartments were in a brilliant location, practically a stone's throw from the beach; about 5 minutes walk from the local supermarket and about 5 minutes walk to St Lawrence Gap. We stayed in the upstairs apartment and had a nice view of the ocean through the trees in front of the building. The apartments were well decorated both inside and out. Both bedrooms were a good size with plenty of storage space and with in-suite bathrooms, also fully air-conditioned. The kitchen was very well-equipped and had all the necessary implements required to cook meals - large refrigerator, cooker, microwave, iron, ironing board, etc. were included. The balcony attached to the apartment was great for after beach cooling off sessions. In terms of safety, the apartments were very well lit at night and were in an easy location for local taxi-drivers to find. We felt very secure. All in all, a very pleasant and extremely reasonably priced accommodation. Two couples could easily stay here without any over-crowding. The only very small minus point in terms of location was that you are near enough to St Lawrence's Gap to hear the live music from the bars at night (up to about 2 am) so if you want to have an early night every night, this might not be the place for you. 0 users found this review helpful. 0 found this review unhelpful. It was a well-maintained, attractive property with a nice view of the Caribbean from the 2nd floor apartment. It was quiet, I felt very safe and it was incredibly relaxing. I liked the fact that I could cook my own breakfast in the mornings, watch TV at my leisure, and do the beach whenever I liked. Perfect Spot by the Sea, Excellent Accommodations, Convenient Visited: December 1969 Posted by jennygibert Rydal Waters is an absolutely wonderful place to stay when visiting Barbados. The spacious beach-side apartment is very well maintained and provides all the comforts of home, including a fully equiped kitchen. I enjoy being located right by the beach, which is perfect for a vacation by the sea. Rydal Waters is also located conveniently close to St. Lawrence Gap, which offers many restaurants and bars. The apartment is in a safe area and provides the perfect setting for a relaxing and fun vacation.
