Glitter Bay Barbados is located on a 15 acre beachfront property and has 64 guestrooms and suites.
In the 1930s, Sir Edward Cunard, of the famed Cunard Shipping line, acquired the property and built the Great House. The beach house was modeled after the Cunard family palazzo in Venice.
This magnificent complex is surrounded by flower-filled grounds and lush green palms. The former beach house has been converted into five garden suites, four of which have Jacuzzi.
The more contemporary guestrooms have been recently refurbished in handsome design.
All watersports, boating and tennis are complimentary, and golf as well as horseback riding are easily arranged.
The Piperade restaurant serves marvelous food - the Chef's shrimp variations are especially recommended.
