Excellent Tour! |

| My boyfriend and I traveled to Barbados about a month ago. The weather was beautiful and the people were very friendly. We stayed at the Crane Resort. The highlight of our trip was Ted's Tour. You will not find a better tour guide of the island! He is knowledgeable about everything and gives you little tid bits you wouldn't get anywhere else. He takes you around the whole island and has a story for everything. Never a dull moment! | |

It is pretty close to perfect! Visited: May 2009 |

| Having stayed at the apartments before, we knew we were on safe ground. However, the experience just got better. If you ever have to organize a Caribbean wedding on a budget (with ten guests to accommodate and cater for), Sunset Crest is ideal. I know Brett de Gale would never promote himself as a wedding planner. However, the help he gave us, when others let us down in other areas, was just unbelievable. All of the local knowledge, from him and his staff, just can't be found in the guide books. We had three bungalows and a villa, all of immaculate appearance and spotlessly clean. The maid service was unobtrusive, yet thorough (a laundry service was also available), and the office and drivers were unbelievably helpful. Rival Enterprises managed the near impossible in keeping ten people extremely happy from the moment we landed to the time we departed, and that's why we believe it was pretty close to perfect. |

Highly Recommend SeaShells Visited: May 2009 |
|
| Posted by rbbushwe67 | |
| Our stay at SeaShells exceeded our expectations. The beach front villa is beautiful, comfortably furnished both inside and out with easy access to the beach. Having a cook/house keeper made our stay excceedingly relaxing. Swimming in front of the villa has a rocky entrance but, just a short walk down the beach you have a soft sand entrance. The Fish Market next door was the source for most meals - it also made for some great people watching! The villa is on a very busy roadway and there is traffic noise which we thought would make it unpleaant to sit on the patio - however, the sounds and sites of the Caribbean made the traffic noise fade in to the background. If you are so inclined, you can walk to resturants and shops. We found moving from lounge chair to lounge chair all the movement we needed. It was a totally relaxing trip! |

| It is a nice place to stay, away from the outside world. The only problem I have is during the day the rooms are very hot, and there are no fans or air conditioning in the rooms. Besides that, it is a great place to stay. |

I was disappointed. Visited: May 2009 |

| The weather was beautiful. The water was gorgeous. The hotel staff needed some attitude adjustments. I did not feel welcomed here. The food was horrible. However, the worst was if you didn't make dinner reservations, you were asked to get up from the table and leave (which was embarrassing). I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I couldn't even get a cup of coffee in the morning. Also, I had on a brand new pair of shorts and sat on chair and got bleach on it. What if i was dressed up? I mentioned it to the desk, and no one even appologized for it. You had to get dressed up to eat every night, but I was afraid to put on anything good for fear it would get destroyed. It was a big waste of money for me. I'm very easy to please, and I thought it was horrible. Don't waste your money. |

| My stay at Accra Beach Hotel was superb. The staff was extremely professional and friendly; the rooms were spacious and safe; and the area was located next to a lot of stores and so forth. |

| We were unsure of booking a place online. However, we were beyond pleased with Sunset Crest. The staff was very accommodating, the unit we stayed in was perfect, and we could not beat the value. The Beach Club was great place, and we loved being able to walk to stores and restaurants. We definitely will stay here again. |

| Angler Apartments is a vintage, tropical place to stay. It is old, but charming. We sat on our porch mornings and watched the birds try to steal our breakfast! Hotels don't offer this service! Charm and lots of flowers make up for the age. Everything including the air conditioning worked. There were no feather pillows, but the bathroom was clean, and the host was pleasant! |

Don't unpack - keep it all locked up as there are thieves about. Visited: March 2009 |

| I stayed at the Savannah Hotel in March for a week until I joined the cruise ship. About 95% of the staff was very unfriendly and couldn't seem to care less about us. Also, the food at the hotel was very expensive. When we did order it, it took so long to arrive that we were past it. The rooms on the whole are good. The decor was okay. The beds were very comfortable. The waterfall was quite deafening - especially when they didn't turn it off at night. The hotel always had a deserted feel at night as most guests ate elsewhere. Then, to cap it all off, I believe the maid stole an item of clothing from my room. I am really angry about this as I had given her two bottles of alcohol and $16 tip. I reported it to the reception, and they seemed to laugh about it, as it was about 10:30 at night, and I was to leave at 7 am the following morning. This was also the day we were leaving for the cruise. I had asked the maid if we would see her that day, but she had said no. That is why we had given her the tip day before. I eventually saw a manager two hours later and made a report - then another. With security in my room, I had all my luggage emptied and searched, and I was told they would sort it out before I left. They continued to give me excuses until the bus arrived to take us to ship. By the time I contacted reception onboard, the hotel had refused to co-operate any further and told me I had to sort it out myself. How could I at sea? When we returned to Barbados a week later, nothing could be done in regards to insurance or the tour operator as we had to go to the police and get an incident report. I have looked at many review web sites, and this is only one of many, many thefts reported from the Savannah Hotel. Another guest the same week as me had an item missing, but they did not notice straight away. The item I had gotten stolen was bought as a gift for me for Mother's Day and was unusual. I am still very upset about it. I would not return to Barbados as this has certainly put me off. The hotel has ignored emails and requests to sort this out since my return. Be warned: Don't unpack. Keep it all locked up when you are not in your room. |

Barbados is a friendly island, and Janice is a superb host! Visited: February 2009 |

| Posted by swafters | |
| I traveled to Barbados in February to watch England getting beaten in the Cricket, again! Despite the cricket, everything else was fantastic, most of all the weather and my accommodation. Before, during and after my trip, nothing was too much trouble for my host, Janice. She arranged taxis to and from the airport, kept a homey place to stay, and was able to offer advice on where to go, how to travel and what England should do to win a match! Rossomar Rentals is only a ten-minute walk to a bus stop - which will take you almost anywhere on the island and for only $1.50. The neighborhood to walk through is safe and friendly, and the traffic not nearly as bad as made out on other reviews. If you need a break, there is even a local bar about half way! Taxis are so expensive, and once you get your bearings the buses or less 'legal' Reggae buses are very cheap and very regular! All the rooms are pleasant with a fridge to chill your Banks Beer. They are air conditioned and provide a TV with many US channels to choose from. The location may not be in the 'tourist' area of St. Lawrence Gap, but if you want to watch your pennies and experience the real Barbados, this is the place to be! I look forward to return in the future to watch a triumphant England team! Thanks Janice! |

| Dinner here was recommended by our manager. The setting was spectacular, and the food superb. The service was very professional, and the price about half that of The Cliff! | |

Our ten-day stay at Glitter Bay exceeded all our expectations. Visited: March 2009 |

| My wife and I had been to Barbados on three previous trips, but had stayed in West Coast (near Holetown) hotels each time. This was our first experience with a condo. From the time we were met at the airport until the time we dropped off for our return trip, everyone connected with the villa was professional, courteous and friendly, particularly Ryan, the manager who was readily available. The condo was fully equipped. Also, the maid (Winnie) did our personal laundry, every day if we wished. Had we known that it advance, we could have traveled with fewer clothes! Next time we will know better! We will return for another great trip to Barbados. |

| Walking with the Grin and Bear group every Sunday is a physical challenge that I both look forward to and totally enjoy. While I am walking with this small group of warrior hikers, I know I will have a good laugh. It makes the three-hour trek fun and personally rewarding. |

| My girlfriend and I stayed at Sweetfield Manor for a week in February, and we had the best time! The owners, Anne and George, were the best hosts. Their care and hospitality was felt throughout the house. The gourmet breakfasts were a real treat - and a perfect start to the day. All the rooms were comfortable, very clean and beautiful. I canīt recommend this place more. It is a truly special find. |

| I recently spent ten days in Barbados visiting a friend who was living there. We decided to splurge and spent one night at the Crane. It was the definite highlight of the trip. We visited most beaches on the island -- and Crane Beach was hands down the most stunning. The pools and surrounding were meticulous. Also, the rooms were opulent - from the huge Jacuzzi tubs to wonderfully oversized showers. In addition, the food was delicious -- especially the sushi from their Zen restaurant. I can't say enough about the Crane. Every angle was stunning, and the staff was more than accommodating! |

| What a great place! We arrived from Miami at almost midnight, and the hosts greeted us with smiles, a drink and a late night snack of homemade delicious island soup. We had been dragging, and immediately felt so relaxed at last. We took an island tour with one of the hosts' favorite cab drivers and saw just about everything. The breakfasts were fantastic each morning, and wished we could have stayed longer. A week just wasn't enough! We just loved this place, and had a great time. We highly recommend this place. Thanks! |
