Black Pearl, Barbados traveler review
It was rubbish! |
| Posted by nick2008 |

I thought it was rubbish! It would be better for businessmen with loud voices and company credit cards to charge.
Romance was non existent. However, the fake candles and black table cloths with red napkins awesome.
Also, I thought the people walking past on the broadwalk with their ice creams and KFC had a better deal. Sorry, it was not for me.
If you want a high class eatery, go to St. James or The Cliff maybe. |

The Tides, Barbados traveler review
We enjoyed our dinner at the Tides. |

Dinner here was recommended by our manager. The setting was spectacular, and the food superb. The service was very professional, and the price about half that of The Cliff! |

Pisces, Barbados traveler review
Pisces offers fantastic food in a brilliant setting. |

Once we discovered Pisces, we found it difficult to go anywhere else. The tables beside the harbour wall were in a perfect setting to enjoy the delicious fare that they serve here.
The choice of dishes was excellent and varied. They served fish, pasta, steak, and vegetarian entrees. Every dish was prepared and presented beautifully. My partner said it was some of the most deliciously fresh tasting pasta she had ever had. We all went back for a steak on our last night, and they were absolutely divine!
The staff was exceptional. Each time we went, we had two or three different people serving us, monitoring our happiness without being intrusive at all. Service was quick and exceedingly polite.
The prices, we thought, were more than reasonable. However, bear in mind I am English, and we are used to paying through the nose for almost everything in our country! Seriously though, it was an excellent value for the quality of the food you receive.
In conclusion, do not miss out on trying this restaurant. It would be a shame for you to miss out. |

Grannies, Barbados traveler review
Stop here for [chicken] necks and gizzards! |
| Posted by divapat |

This is a fabulous spot down the block from Oistins fish-fry venue. Locals start lining up every evening for Grannies world-famous fried chicken necks, gizzards, and livers. Her flyin' fish ain't to be sneezed at, either!
It has that fast food ambiance and no table service - but great food! |

They served yummy seafood. |

Lobster Alive was so quaint. The sign for the restaurant was just the name on some plywood. It was located right on the beach just down from the docks - between the docks and the Hilton.
You can pick your own lobster from the tank. It was a neat experience, and the food tasted amazing. It was the best meal we had in Barbados. It was a little expensive - but worth it! |

My sister and I spent ten glorious days at Pavilions and Pools in St. Thomas. The best kept secret is chef Karl at the Fish Pond Cafe on site! He serves up great Cajun/Creole entrees. Don't miss the tamales and BBQ night!! |

Wow! I never knew that tamales tasted so great! What a surprise when driving to Sapphire Bay and saw the sign at PAVILIONS AND POOLS for Karl's Tamales. I ordered 3 and with a selection of 25 sauces, I had to order 6 more! Bruce and Karl introduced me to a new food passion! Thanks, guys! |

“Real New Orleans, Louisiana Cuisine”. |

Karl’s Cajun and Creole Kitchen as “Real New Orleans, Louisiana Cuisine”. It was like home for me being a native New Orleanian. Unlike any place I’ve been, home away from home. I will be back and have already called my friends to tell them. I love Pavilions and Pools and I love this place. I experienced true hospitality. "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" |

When going to Karl's Cajun & Creole restaurant, you're greeted by Catherine who is also the Bartender. Very friendly person. She does a great job making and serving the drinks you order. The cooking is all done by Karl. The food is great and the portions are plenty. The shrimp is the best my wife and I have ever had. The soft shell crabs are the greatest. Fried oysters are to die for. Karl has a special every day. My wife and I are going down to Pavilions and Pools Hotel in about ten days, and looking forward to eating and drinking with Karl and Catherine.
