A: The Belize Tourism Board has a page on their website (http://belizeretirement.org/) on the Government's retirement programme.
If you don't qualify for the programme, then you can still buy property over here, although if you plan on carrying out ANY work you will need a work permit. You can apply for residency after 50 weeks' staying in Belize - until then you simply renew your intial 3 month visa each month at your nearest immigration office.
Make sure you spend time in each area so as to be sure it's suitable for you, and to get used to the Belizean way of life. |
