This is a five-star hotel and dive shop. Visited: June 2007 Posted by bebe67 We were in San Pedro staying at Sunbreeze Hotel, and the service was great. Their rooms were really nice and well kept. I personally enjoyed the pool area, where I got my wonderful tan. We dove with Aqua Dives. The dive shop was great. The staff met our every need. We received perfect service. I especially enjoyed the blue hole trip on their 52-ft boat - it was impressive. Visited: June 2001 Posted by mrsflabrkr My husband and I visited Ambergris in June of 2001 and had a wonderful time. We actually are now planning our trip for 2002. The Sunbreeze was nice because of its proximity to San Pedro. You have to walk everywhere so it was nice to be right by town. You are also right by the airport, which did not ever bother me. I do not even remember hearing any planes. The lounge area is nice and well kept along with the pool and bar. Although we stayed at the Sunbreeze we did not use the dive shop; they seemed to be a little unorganized and they didn't seem to offer a lot of dives. Good Hotel - Avoid the Dive Shop Visited: May 2000 Posted by pickle_37 The hotel was great. Everything the review said was true. The rooms were very, very clean and the staff were very friendly. However, avoid the dive shop. Even though Aqua Dives advertises a money back guarantee, they would not refund dives that we missed because of broken down boats and bad weather/conditions. Visited: January 1999 Posted by pezzhull Our family spent 4 days here on our trip to Belize. We found a very clean, very friendly standard hotel. The usual 2 beds, TV, air-conditioning, a nice beachfront pool (hard to find in Belize) and a reasonable beachfront restaurant. The dive shop on the premises was great for snorkeling trips (the owner was very helpful) and we were a few steps from San Pedro which was great for walks into town for meals. We often walked to bake shops for breakfast, and into Elvi's for a wonderful supper. Closeness to airport was not a problem, for some reason I do not remember plane noise at all, and the planes do not fly at night. The attraction is the Caye and its snorkeling or diving.
