Victoria House Resort - Belize

Nestled on Ambergris Caye two miles south of San Pedro, Victoria House is the island's premiere luxury resort visually reminiscent of a Caribbean plantation surrounded by unspoiled acres lush with tropical gardens. The hotel is small and exclusive with Plantation rooms, Casitas, Plantation suites and private villas, all facing a palm tree filled waterfront on the azure Caribbean one half mile from the second largest barrier reef in the world.

The plantation style main building houses the State Rooms, Plantation Rooms and Plantation Suites. Elegantly appointed and located on the second floor they are accessed by a wrap-around balcony overlooking tropical gardens, white sand beaches and a beachfront swimming pool and patio. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer mini-bars.

Greet a stunning sunrise from your own private verandah of one of the ten thatch-roofed cabañas or Casitas. Each cabana is decorated with mahogany beds draped in custom mosquito netting enabling you to enjoy the cool evening breezes, or if you prefer each unit is air conditioned. The Cabanas are separated from the azure Caribbean by only a white sand beach and a wide expanse of verdant lawn. Available with a queen or two singles beds in each Cabana.

Caribbean Plantation style interiors are air-conditioned with verandahs that overlook the ocean. These bedrooms are elegantly decorated with a Queen or King bed and a private bathroom.

The Rainforest Suite or Honeymoon Suite is only fifty feet from the waters edge with a wrap around furnished verandah. The suite is a private unit with an oversized room featuring jungle style whimsical flora and fauna wall frescos painted by a renowned local artist. Floor to ceiling louvered windows on three sides, air conditioning, and ceiling fans provide all the cooling one could wish for.

The lovely single story two bedroom villa with vaulted hardwood ceilings is located on our white sand palm shaded beach. Both bedrooms and the living room open onto the spacious hardwood deck overlooking the beach, providing the perfect spot to enjoy an island sunrise over the barrier reef. Although the bedrooms mirror each other in size, one features a king bed and the other two queen beds. The living area has a pullout double sofa. The living room, kitchen and dining room also have a garden view deck in the back allowing for cooling tropical breezes and access to sunrise and sunsets. The bedrooms may be closed off from the living area and used as Plantation Rooms. Master Suites, the bedroom plus living area, may also be arranged separately from the house.

Just next door is a spacious three bedroom two level plantation house. The main floor master bedroom features a custom bamboo queen bed and an en suite master bath with tub and shower. The living room, dining room and kitchen all open onto an oversized covered verandah furnished with wicker and mahogany furniture. Upstairs are two privately accessed bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, air conditioning and furnished with two double beds or one double and single. A shared balcony overlooks the beach and barrier reef. This lovely house can also be taken as a Master Suite, or may be utilized as three separate Plantation Rooms.
