Chan Chich Lodge - Belize

Belize is a haven for the eco-tourist and Chan Chich is the place to be! Chan Chich Lodge is located in northwest Belize in the lower plaza of an
ancient Maya site and is in a private nature reserve with over 135,000
acres. Chan Chich Lodge is reachable by a 30-minute charter flight (such
as Tropic Air) from most locations within Belize.

The Lodge consists of 12 thatched roof cabanas and a 2-bedroom, 2 bath villa that are fully screened, have either two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, ceiling fan, private bath and wrap around verandas with hammocks.

There is a restaurant and bar on site. The restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, features foods from native Belizean dishes to international cuisine. Special menus are available for children under 12. The Lodge will try to accommodate special dietary needs. Picnic lunches are available upon request for all-day tours or nature walks. The Lodge also has laundry service, a gift shop, reference library, and a scenic outdoor pool and Jacuzzi that is screened in.


Nature calls in an appealing way here--the Lodge has an extensive trail
system of over nine miles of well-marked trails for hiking and exploring.
Trail maps are provided allowing you to walk trails unaccompanied or for
an additional fee, you can sign up for a guided tour. Also available at
an additional cost are night walks, night drives, driving tours of the
Gallon Jug Estate Farm (where you'll see plenty of deer and other
animals), coffee and cacao plantations, Sylvester Village, nearby Mayan
sites such as Punta de Cacao or Laguna Seca Birding habitat, horseback
riding and canoeing.

Rare sightings of the elusive jaguars are posted on a bulletin board. Perhaps you'll be one of the lucky ones! And they say, if you don't bother them, they won't bother you.
