Facilities abound all along the beach, including the Horseshoe Bay Beach House, a concession that rents snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and umbrellas, toilet and changing facilities and a small shop that sells beach necessities. Access to Horseshoe Bay is from Horseshoe Road, off South Road and opposite the Tio Pepe restaurant (a good spot to eat for something more substantial than the beach café). Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months, and the beach is closed from sunset to sunrise. The beach can get quite crowded, however, so if desiring a pleasant respite from the many visitors, venture towards the small cove at the western end of the beach. Here, you'll find shallow, sheltered waters -- ideal for children. (close) |
