This is a wonderful villa. Visited: October 2009 Posted by tom_hayes We spent two weeks at the Captain's House and loved every minute of it. It is comfortable, clean, and the views are outstanding. We learned how to drive the roads on the first day (Jerry's Car rental was great), and loved being located at that end of Tortola. Never rent without a pool, it's definitely a must. I had to relearn how to use a charcoal BBQ, but that was fine too after day two. Having a working Internet connection was really helpful as well. The location and views were perfect. The house had everything we needed. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a private setting with breathtaking views. Visited: May 2006 Posted by smthsaln This villa will take your breath away! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful, relaxing and private getaway. The landscaping defies definition. You will feel as if you are lost in a rainforest of lush, tropical foliage, surrounded by a rainbow of colors that will astound you. The pool within the elegant courtyard will refresh you after a long day of activities, such as snorkeling, scuba, sailing, sunning on the beach, shopping or just sipping drinks at your new favorite watering hole. The elevated views of the water, Long Bay, Smuggler's Cove and Jost Van Dyke are postcard perfect. The outdoor shower is exhilarating, with crystal clear daytime vistas of sailboats crossing on turquoise seas and then the equally resplendent nightime expanse of millions of brillant stars twinkling above. It is central to many of the best restaurants, bars, marinas and shopping areas on Tortola. I highly recommend this exquisite villa to anyone who may desire romance, solitude and serenity...perhaps newlywed couples, or couples celebrating their anniversaries. This villa is also great for entertaining new friends with the expansive outdoor courtyard, pool, BBQ, and well equipped kitchen.
